GDT: Cardinals at Steelers 12/3/23

I had this bad feeling all week, I really didn't think that the Steelers would win today. When every single fan or pundit picks the Steelers to have an easy win then usually the opposite happens.

 

So that is who I saw on the road this morning. I should have taken one for the team and tested my truck's durability.

 

While Canada was a problem and needed to go, this game shows that it wasn't all Canada. It also shows how overrated this team is - missed tackles, dumb penalties - that's not a coincidence. Don't care how easy the schedule is - will not be shocked when they missed the playoffs.

Steelers are punking themselves. Run for 7 on first down? Pass it twice and punt. Run for less than 4? Run it again. 4th and goal from inside the 1? Line up in shotgun with your backup QB and run up the gut.

Tomlin needs to take some heat for this for multiple reasons. One is going for the fourth down and handing the Cardinals momentum. Take the three points and regain the lead. You can't trust your center and your quarterback just left the game. Take the damn points.

Also, this defense is very sloppy, which will only get worse with Roberts out.

This is going to very likely be a brutal game to watch. Even with Kenny in, we were making a 2-10 team look pretty formidable. It's probably not going to get much better from here. Looks like the post-Canada honeymoon energy boost was short-lived after all. Hope I'm wrong, obviously.

 

If Kenny is out Thursday, it will be the second game I go to that the Starting QB is out. First time it was Mason Rudolph in and now it will be Trubisky.

 

Ugh. I don't have much faith in the Steelers pulling this one out with Trubisky.

 

Just my luck..... Kenny will be unable to come back and play Thursday and I'll travel 11 hours to Pittsburgh to watch Mitchell Trubisky play.......

 

So this team is going win in Seattle or Baltimore?

Heck, the Colts are far better than any of the last 3 teams and they're struggling to put those teams away.

 

Pickett will be the next to go. And Tomlin should be right after. Get some value for him and move on.
