    Playing two bad teams in a row. Which one are we going to muck up and lose? Will Tomlin have them ready? 9-4 would be nice.

    If the Steelers go 0-2 these next 2 games then please put me on suicide watch. I’m not sure I could handle that type of letdown when it looks like the arrow is finally pointing upward.

    Definitely more likely to lose to Murray than Zappe.

    If one of them were a trap game, it would be the Cards. A bad team with a pretty good QB who can hurt you through the air and on the ground... right after a momentum swinging win. Thursday night games are historically won by the home team and that NE team is garbage. I'd be shocked if we lost that one.

    We can lose any remaining game. I'll consider Pickett's good game to be more of a fluke until he stacks a couple of them. With poor QB play, any game is a potential loss (no matter who the QB is)

    Both wins, in fact I think 14 point win margin for next 3 games.

    I would really be surprised if we win both of them.

    Well…. I heard we’re bringing Gunner back to return punts vs. the Pats. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with that?

    A true playoff team must win both of these games. They are gifts from the scheduling gods. If you don’t advantage of the gifts, then there should be no complaining at the end of the season when the Steelers lose a tiebreaker.

    I will never count a win against NE. ....until the game is over. I don't care how it happened. We beat Tom Brady last year, but still turned around, and lost to NE.

    I think you are being generous, but I'd take it. Watching a vid today on how the new OC team in communicating what they will do and why, and how the players can change routes really shows how lacking Canada was. That alone could bring those 14 pts you speak of.

    One of the chuckleheads on The Fan actually made a good point this afternoon about the so-called "Tomlin Special". His thought was that it seemed to happen most often when we had a good offense, as if they could turn it on anytime during the game and they never did, or the comeback came up short. This particular team hasn't shown the ability to blow anyone out, let alone on a regular basis. Thought process being this team shouldn't feel comfortable against anyone no matter how bad their record is.

    Agreeing with the Sodfathers above. As bad as we need it, the fact remains this team has blown out No one. We as fans are dieing for a game we can jump up and beat on the drum, spill some beer,kiss a Ugly dog. Were all waiting for tomorrow for it to happen. Prediction; Never bet real money, but it sure would be nice it's been a long time.

    The schedule is certainly favorable but we really need to win all three of these home games to guarantee a playoff spot. Zona Pats and Cincy.

    @Indy
    @Seattle
    @Baltimore

    Are all going to be tough games if the offense struggles to score.

    The Baltimore game could be meaningless for them if they have clinched the 1 seed somehow. Ravens schedule is tough though before the Steelers game they have @Jax @SF and Miami in Baltimore. Doubtful they win all of those.

    I call these popcorn games. Games that the Steelers should handily win...but they make us sweat it out until the very end.

    I think the Steelers win both of the next games with one of them being much closer than it should be and coming down to the wire with some 4th quarter Kenny magic.

    I'm hoping they win them both but if not I would rather lose to Arizona being an NFC team and not high on the strength of schedule.

    Going to the cheats game so its a win. Never been to a Steeler game that they have lost.

    Patrick Peterson is far too motivated to play against his old team to allow the defense to not be prepared to support him, and the offense is too motivated to produce after so much futility......
    As for the patriots, we've been Bill Bellichick's door Matt for far too long not to kick him when he's down... both will be wins

    The Steelers have yet to lose to a sub .500 team this year.

    Through last week Tomlin's record:

    269 games (17 seasons)
    170 wins
    97 losses
    32 to teams with sub .500 records

    I would say overall he does pretty well against bad teams, better than most coaches.

    Looking further into it, in his first 9 years:

    144 games
    92 wins
    52 losses
    0 ties

    .638 win %

    20 losses to sub .500 teams

    ---

    His most recent 8 years
    125 games
    78 wins
    45 losses
    2 ties

    .624 win %

    12 losses to sub .500 teams
