well, yes except that CANADA called a very similar play to DJ vs. JAX and DJ DROPPED IT / Kenny overthrew it. Kenny SUCKED that day, so did DJ.

That was supposed to be one of his strengths. It is something he has done well in the past.

Good take. Tomlin might have figured a. 50/50 risk wasn't worth it to potentially lose a time out that early in a game. I think Gene Steratore was right, but they called it incomplete and I think the replay official would have agreed. Hate to leave those points on the table but it is what it is.Either way, they won the game and thats really all that matters.

Lots of yardage, didn't make itself into points.

The DJ missed call would of added 7, it became zero because of the fumble.

Would of made this game 23-10

Also big kickoff return and then lucky bounce to Chase, basically got the Bengals a TD.

Without that the maybe would of had 3 points on the day.

I said in the GDT that those types of plays need to be reviewed by HQ. If it was ruled a TD they would have taken a look at it, so they should do the same for a potential scoring play.

Just because of the silly takes on here that the offense still only scored 16 points as if they clearly weren’t better without Canada. Must be a tough pill to swallow for those pushing back on the fans that wanted him gone.

I'm not so quick to take Tomlin off the hook. At the time, it mattered very much. The Steelers have struggled to score points, so they can't afford to give away seven by not challenging. There is also the long-term impact of the offensive struggles. The entire unit needs to build some confidence. Pickett desperately needs it. That had to make him feel like he can't catch a break. The lack of touchdown passes has to be eating at him, so losing one that way hurts.

This weeks game just felt so different watching, it was kinda relaxing and I never once felt like it was gonna come down to the last few minutes of the game. We controlled the whole game on offense and defense. Special teams wasn’t so special.

I haven’t checked yet, but how many 3 and outs did we have? We did move the ball and had longer drives then usual, our defense allowed Mixon only 16 yards on the ground and held Chase to I think 85 yards and 31 of those yards was a deflected pass.

we may have only scored 16, but add another 7 if the TD by Johnson would have stood making it 23 points and also we did use a possession to just run the clock down (can’t remember if we got a FG on that possession or not) if so that was possibly 4 more points we left off the board.

I just hope that the passion and desire stays and it continues and that the team don’t feel like getting over 400 yards was the goal.

You and I remember that game very differently.

They were losing at halftime. I was pissed. I certainly felt more comfortable about their ability to come back given how much better the offense looked, but they were in real trouble. Remember, the Bengals had a four-point lead and they drove to the Pittsburgh 18 early in the third quarter before Thompson intercepted Browning's pass.

Im not sure why I felt that way. Felt that way the entire game. I was pretty certain the defense would make a big play at some point.

We had zero 3 and outs, and 2 and 4 and outs. Only 3 play drive was victory formation at the end.

I was reading over the weekend that former players under different regimes want
Him gone. I think he is 55-6, I think he should at least get one more year with the expanded field for the playoffs they should be a shoo in.

not the best qb he has had there. A lot of places would sure take him if they did fire him. I'd take him here. :smiley1::cool:
