16 points is way far from perfect

    It’s actually below average

    But it’s better

Was the guy in the booth Canada? :) He's no longer in the booth or with the team.

Too many games where we talk about DJ and not in the positive. Hopefully Pickens grows into the #1 role because this team doesn't have a real #1 right now.

And what difference does it make if the final score is 16-10, or 23-10 ?

First game with this setup, hopefully it gets better. I think it will but we'll see.

Isn't amazing what a competant oc/ play caller may do for you! Now lets hope the Steelers hire one off season.

There is every reason to be optimistic

I had lost some of my enthusiasm last Sunday

I got a lot of that back with three little words on Tuesday

    More so today

Actually from where he stands he most definitely could not see it

    It was not on replay

The people in the booth did not get to see a replay

The only person who could have told Tomlin to challenge it would have been DJ

    That dumb ass did not

Actually, if you watch that replay, Diontae didn't even move when the ball was snapped..
There was no effort at all from the beginning of that play to the end.... I was completely disgusted

Yeah, that part was the bad part. It was a run, but he needed to at least move. The rest I can understand a bit, but yeah... not good.

I thought too it would have been a "didn't maintain control through hitting the ground." He had three steps and had it been anywhere other than the endzone, it would have been a fumble."

100% and if I am the Coach you have to call out your players. Lack of effort is never acceptable, he was sulking about not getting the TD. If I am a player I am pissed man, I need to know you are all in every time you step on the field or I have no use for you period full stop!!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the Steelers had the ball for 37 minutes and ran nearly 30 more plays than the Bengals. That keeps the defence fresh for when they are needed.

Picketts development aside, the Steelers now seem to be able to run the football reliably.

Imagine if Ben had this run game his final two years

Pickens is a lazy route runner sometimes too. He used to not even put his mouthpiece in when it was a running play. He stops his route on run plays too. What he should know is if you keep running your route and its man coverage the db might not know the ball was handed off and if the rb breaks it you might take that DB out of the play entirely. They just are not smart football players on every play, the mental aspect is far greater of an asset than the physical asset sometimes.

Thanks again for the thoughts on the win @blackandgoldpatrol@blackandgoldpatrol! Was very busy today so sadly couldn't see the game. Here is something else I would like to add.

If Darius Rush can come along just as nicely, the team definitely has something to work with this season... and hopefully next.

I’m sure the refs would have found a reason to confirm the call. For Tomlin, it’s the ghost of Jesse James that prevented him from challenging

like other have said add 1 TD to KP’s stat line. Pretty impressive for a young QB facing pressure and blitzes all game. I though DJ bobbled the ball and did not demonstrate enough control all the way through but most are saying it was a catch so there you go

I just read in the Trib where he was asked about that play, and he replied he didn't see it. "I was just doing what I was supposed to do. Blocking or whatever." He's lying. He was pouting like a 13-year-old girl that didn't get Tay Tay tickets for her birthday. It's always been one step forward and literally two steps (or more) back with him.

Just so we are clear, the sub 400 yard streak predates Matt Canada.

It would have looked a lot better if they threw the red flag there. Not sure I remember exactly how many yards that play was, but KP could've had a 300 yard game and an added TD if they did. We didn't, so its a moot point I guess.
