I don't believe anything that comes out of His mouth. He'd start His mother on fire if he thought it would get Him listeners.

Gee, it only seems like a couple of months ago I was reading about the cagey “Khan Artist”, the super genius GM who fleeced other teams in trades and signed up the right FA pieces at cheap prices.

Depends on your definition of failed. Mitch was an outright bust. I don’t consider Fields in that category at all, his is clearly much more talented than any QB we have and has shown immense upside at times. Bears may even stay with him but if they get the chance to draft Williams they’ll probably have to take it.

The Steelers will have to make a move. They won’t have the draft position to get another QB in the draft and can’t go into 2024 with Kenny and Mitch as the only options. It’s more likely they go for a journeyman like Brissett or Dalton

    What would you suggest?

first, they shouldn't have dumped the money into mitch. there are a lot of qb's in this upcoming draft class. it doesn't have to be a first rounder. the kid from NC may be a decent pick. there are a few free agents that will come on the market as well. o-line and d-line i think will have to be addressed. DB's are not near as plentiful this year as last. the coaches are as big of concern for me as players this coming off-season.

I get the hesitancy, but if it were a late round pick I would give it a shot. Brings competition for Kenny and would be cheaper than someone like Kirk, Kyler, Tanny, etc.

Well since I said CJ would be way better than Him, and one is doing better than almost all rookies ever, and the other can't stay healthy, or on the field. I would say I was pretty correct.

Why, No Kenny and Mitch in 2024?

Mitch's new contract does not expire until the 2026 season. 2 years remaining after this year.

Kenny deserves a seat at the head table without Matt Canada. Don't throw your injured 1st round QB out the door, until he has had an offseason with someone other than Matt Canada.

I also think the teams new OC will bring in a 3rd free Agent QB that he likes to round out the room. The O-line is still a complete joke and needs all the attention it can get this offseason.

I didn’t mean that they should cut Kenny. I said they can’t go in to 2024 with Kenny and Mitch as the only options. They have to strengthen that room in the offseason, be it in the draft or free agency

I agree it’s too early to give up on Pickett, but he needs to show improvement between now and the end of the season.

The defences they are facing over the rest of the season get a little easier which will help

Field strikes me as being a more talented Trubisky. He is a very talented runner who has the occasional big game as a passer, but he also turns in too many stinkers and can't be trusted with the game on the line. That is not a great long-term option.

LMAO. Madden? Madden writes or says whatever he thinks will piss off the most people without any regard for the truth. That you think he has any credibility just demonstrates that you don't.

I'm not sure why Weidl is listed here. He influences the roster, but that's about it.

Khan has done his job. The Steelers had a great draft. Aside from letting Sutton leave, they did a good job in free agency. They turned a disaster at inside linebacker into a strength, an area of enough depth that they still have one good one even after two devastating injuries. What else is he supposed to do? He doesn't have the authority to fire Tomlin. I don't think any GM has that authority, not without the approval of the owner.
