If they make Mitch the starter, Tomlin can kiss his 9-8 season goodbye. As bad as Kenny has been, Mitch would be even worse. I'd rather see Rudolph in there over Mitch, even though he hasn't played in 2 years

Sometimes, we have to listen to our brain and not our hearts.
Canada's offense is bad, that is not debatable. All one needs to do is turn on any NFL blah, blah, blah show and listen to analysis of Pittsburgh.
Canada is doing more harm than good. They took him out of the booth in an attempt to be exposed to the actual game firsthand and he's still failing.
There's a clip I caught a glimpse of, where after a 3 and out Kenny sits down on the bench and Canada takes a seat beside him... I don't think it actually happened, but it looks like Canada says something and it appears Kenny says "F you." It was a very cold setting none the less.
But you hear it in the players, you hear it from the fans, you hear it on the airwaves.

At this point, it might be wise to let Mason or Mitch play.

I was a Trubisky homer when we signed him. I figured there was a reason why he was drafted so high by the Bears. Why he played so well with the Bills. Now I know why both gave up on him

The Canada firing pretty much answers this question. Kenny will continue to start, I would imagine.

I think the firing of Canada almost certainly means KSP will start against Cincinnati

If for no reason other than not creating mayhem

Not our decision but we have tried 2 out of 3 QB’s both not to good. Put Mason in and see what he can do. Forget about what he did before the future is now.

Rudolph has only played in one game the last 3 seasons so he definitely had time to sit and watch the game. There are examples like Geno Smith who was terrible coming out of college and sat on the bench for years after that before getting another shot as a starter with the Seahawks. He hasn't been great but hasn't been terrible either. Rudolph could have a similar career outcome.

I saw that. I didnt notice if Kenny said anything but he gave Canada the cold shoulder. Wasn’t interested in what he had to say. The players let the world know they had enough after that game.

No doubt. I would much rather start Mason or Duck Hodges for that matter. Trubisky is an interception machine.

I'm not sure I'd say Rudolph makes bone headed plays, but he does give his receivers more of a chance to get the ball. I like Kenny and want him to succeed, but at this point he isn't even taking a shot to win the game, aside from the Q4 comebacks.

Mason might have the best arm throwing down the field, but he's the least mobile of the three.

I'm sure some of the players had enough of Pickett not seeing the field too, guys are open, but he won't throw it to them.

With Canada gone you have to give Kenny a clean board and start all over with him. Don't hold his sins of his past with Canada against him.

I am curious to see what Kenny can do without Matt Canada calling the plays and talking to him in his helmet every play. Kenny may play a little looser, now that Canada is gone.

I was hoping the new OC was going to be Sullivan, but it sounds like even though Mike Sullivan is not the OC, he will be calling the plays on Sunday.

Pickett will start. Trubisky is a pick machine. They need to let Pickett open it some more. Better balance on offense. The predictability is mind boggling.

    Rudolph. Come on now.

The one positive I'll say for Trubs is that his deep ball INTs would be better than many of Harvin's punts. Sorry I meant

Pickett, Trubisky, and Rudolph are all pretty much the same QB. Each does something a little better than the others. We do need to see what Pickett does in a different OC environment, but if it is the same the rest of the season, the brass will know it's time to find another QB.

Yeah give Rudolph a shot if you’re making a change. We’ve seen enough of the Tru Train to know it goes nowhere.

I wont take either thanks :) .. Stay with Pickett. How come people want to throw the towel in on Kenny with a pos OC but let Rudolph hold a clip board for 5 years?

Saw some footage of Canada talking to KFP during game and it pretty much illustrated kenny could not care less about what Canada had to say. Thank the lord we are not faced with an OC that could not coach a high school team.

I thought this was talking about getting a case of beer for a trade of Trubisky. When I seen it was trying to give Him another shot....I stopped reading. Trubisky is a older version of KFP. Almost to a tee....He escapes the pocket when he doesn't have to....He is terrible throwing down field(even in his very best years He was always ranked in the bottom in completion percentage air yards), and He can't read a defense.....Hmmm:hmm:....sounds like what We already have going on, and that's with 4 different HCs, and 4 different OCs.
