What they really need to do is bring in a new OC with an entirely different system, but the latest they could have possibly done that was at the bye. It is too late to do that now, but it needs to happen in the offseason.

I don't think there is much difference between Pickett, Trubisky, or Rudolph. I do believe Trubisky or Rudolph would have thrown more than one TD pass in the past 5 games. The Steelers are going to have to put more risk into their offensive philosophy. Players need to execute better: QB better accuracy, WRs minimize drops that put the offense in bad downs, o-line needs to pass block better. And Rooney II needs to give Tomlin a wake up call. I give Rooney II credit for not extending Tomlin this season. Maybe Tomlin will start do some self-reflecting, whether it's hiring better coaches, learning how to develop coaches then delegating responsibilities, or he realizes time has run its course and he retires.

 

He did it some of the time early in the season. The fourth-quarter Kenny stuff was real. My point was that he has been even worse since the Jacksonville game.

I would have called a TO on that play, but some of those other 12 men penalties yesterday I would have just taken instead of burning a timeout, they either happened early in the game or in the middle of the field.

Come on now it only takes a couple days to install and learn a new offense. These are professionals. They only start with that stuff in the spring to keep players busy

I think this is fascinating. A QB regresses from year 1 to year 2 and you promote the QB coach? That is odd. Must be some inside story that explains this.
