Nothing is going to change. We saw just as an inefficient and conservative offense back when Ficthner was OC when Rudolph went in for Ben. Tomlin is the bigger issue here and as a result now one of many broken QB’s under Tomlin in Pickett.

Finally although it comes too little too late to fix the offense this season.

I’m stunned at this, very un-Steeler like.

Matt sucks but in this instance I think he is the scapegoat after a woeful QB performance on Sunday. If Kenny had played anything approaching competent football they’d have won and Canada would still have his job

That said, I’m glad he is gone.

It’ll be really interesting to see what they do for the rest of the year and who they bring in long term

That’s because Rooney started taking incoming blame for things. The ownership has always stayed isolated from blame for team operations and when they started seeing their own name in the fire, someone had to go.

well, he is never NEXT, in the classic sense of being fired.

    We ALL know that.

He should meet w Rooney after the season and 'retire'

SO READY for some MAJOR changes in this stale organization

You never know, sometimes things can turn on a dime. I doubt it, but hope is hope.

Pickett clearly has regressed. How can you keep Mike Sullivan?

I agree. I see them both as a problem for this team right now and I'm hoping that Canada was more of the problem than Kenny is. We are about to find out.

So we can expect 400 yards of offense and three TD passes from Pickett this Sunday!

And what did I just say in a couple posts......
    This is a relief.
I knew something was shaking, they moved him to the field and it didn't work...
    Yesterday was crazy quiet there....

    The conversations do happen folks.
Goodbye Matt, don't let the door hit you in fanny.

Matt Canada coming out with a tell all book. Detailing how he schemed the most gullible organization and made millions. Never expected to last as long as he did on the job.

What do you mean? It’s the middle of the ****ing season. They aren’t running out to bring someone in right now.

Unfortunately, for Kenny things won't change much.
You cannot install a new system overnight.

What I do expect is that Kenny might be on a shorter leash.
That shorter leash though will be based on a more open offense.
I expect Kenny to have a little more weight/input. They need to find plays he does well and call those and then expand on those concepts.
    It's a process. :)

No need, she just had to draw a goal line around the house and you won't be able to come within 40 yards of it.

Assuming the playcalling improves to at least a competent level, they have 7 games to see how KP does. This was a critically important change... but it doesn't change Tomlin's influence on the offense, it doesn't change the OL, it doesn't change how KP has been coached for two years, and so forth. I think we all just want to see something that looks like a decent offense that gives us some hope going forward.

I think the 3 passes in a row against Cleveland was the final straw that broke the camels back. He should've been fired a long time ago, but I'll take it
