That's a shame but, to be expected. He's a little older and has been injured. Looks like the NFL will have to file chapter 11 without his fines!*

    *It's just a joke folks.

wouldn't be a bit surprised if he retires, he doesn't like the way the game is played anymore.

he is a great Steeler, but i did like what i saw from Worilds. Harrison never really got going this year. maybe a lot had to do with his injury and maybe some had to do with the way he has played the game. he played hard and hit hard and that takes a tole. also being forced to change the way he plays didnt help.

i think we will be seeing a few great Steelers for the last time Sunday.

even if we had, Goodell would drive him out of the league before long

You may be right, but if that's true, that's pretty sad. If he goes out like that, he'll regret it one day. He'll miss the game and if he goes out earlier than he has to, he'll regret it the rest of his life. Football has changed no doubt, and it doesn't bode well for his style, but big hits do still happen. The game hasn't changed so drastically that it's worth giving up on. It's still the most physical sport on the planet.

Not only do we not have that guy anymore, I don't think we're that same physical, scary team anymore either. We're much more of a finesse team now. Hampton, Timmons, Clark and Troy still hit hard, but that's about it, and 3 of those guys will probably be gone in the years to come (if not next year for 1 or 2 of them).

If he's expected to be a starter I don't think it's fair to ask him to play for the league min.

Thanks for the great years, big hits and many game changing plays...a true Steeler and disruptive force. Was at the SB vs. AZ and my son and I are blessed to see that interception live. I thougt Troy's pick vs the Ravens was great to be at, until 92 made history.

All good things must come to an end, so thanks for everything James. Do us a favor and give Roger the bird at your retirement presser.

When he was at his best he was the most dominantforce in the NFL. No olb came close to him in tackles. Tue year everybody was hyping Mathews he ended with 63 tackles Harrison had 100 75 of which were solo

    :this!:
I was also there with my sons, and saw the greatest play in Super Bowl history. I think he has another year left in him, if we could afford him.

Sad, yeah but he is 35, would be a real crime if he was like 28 and hanging it up because he doesn't like the new league. I wonder how much he has left in the tank, unfortunately, we didn't get a good idea of it with his injury this season.

I love #92 but he isn;t worth the $10mil cap hit. He hasn't done enough this year along with wood.
