If the change happens, its likely over forever, so they would have to really be sure. And it would have to be Mason they go with. Mitch is fish food passing more than 10 yards in front of him.

I don't know about that. At 61 years old, Bubby's lost some zip on the ball.

Don't think they're winning in Seattle or Baltimore either. So assuming a split vs Cincy, the only way they get to 10-7 is to not lose any of the other 3.

New England, Arizona and Colts - none are that good, but will they be any worse than the Browns today?

Cleveland’s D is still solid though none of those other teams can say that.

I really want to see Pickett with a new offense. Not a new OC with the same playbook we've been running since 2007. A new OC with his own playbook, verbiage, reads, etc.

This playbook was designed for Big Ben. It's time to throw it in the trash. Art needs to hire an up and comer, pay him, and stay out of the way. No retreads like Leftwich, McDaniels, etc. I'd gut the offensive staff too. This OL is way too inconsistent under Meyer and I'm not sure what Mike Sullivan offers as a QB coach.

If Tomlin doesn't like it, he's free to retire.

He was bad today...he got 172 yards rushing and still couldn't complete 50% of his passes...he was 15/28...missed throws again. The one nice catch GP had was only because the throw was hot garbage and shoulda been another incompletion. He was outplayed by a rookie 5th round pick. I've personally seen enough. He's not the guy. Bad OC or not, KP is a significant part of the problem. I'm now believing they don't throw to the middle because he can't read it quickly enough or well enough. They'll trot him out the rest of the season. And likely give him a go next year to try and save their first rd pick. So, we'll have another season of mediocre at best QB play. And then admit he's not it and be drafting a QB in 2025.

This. Neither Trubisky nor Rudolph are going to lead this team to the promised land. Roll with Pickett and give him the opportunity to show growth and prove that he deserves another year. Right now he doesn’t. If it continues, we will have clarity on whether QB is our #1 offseason need.

Why would it need to be forever? Bradshaw was benched. Pickett never really had the chance to learn either under a veteran QB or a competent coaching staff.

I don't. There isn't anything there that makes me think it would be any different. We can't afford to lose a year teaching Kenny a new offense for him to throw for 150 yards a game in. We just need to find a QB we can build the offense around.

This ain't the 70s. If Bradshaw had done what he did then, today, he would have been a Raider by 1972.

I'm sure. There's no reason to be anywhere other than the "anyone but Pickett" camp after watching him play. He's started 22 games and he's regressing, not progressing. It's not going to get better.

Let Trubisky play for his spot on the 2024 roster and gut the QB room.

    Pats defense is decent.

And even if the Steelers are playing a bad defense, they don't score that much.

He isn't going to show growth. He's started 10 games this year and has regressed, not grown. The magical light switch isn't going to suddenly flip and turn him into a QB.... If he was going to show growth, he would have already. You are correct about Trubisky and Rudolph, but Pickett isn't either. We'd be wasting our time with him just as much as the other two. We are likely going to give him the whole year because we are still mathematically in playoff contention, but the second we are eliminated I want to see Trubisky in there playing for his 2024 roster spot. If he sucks, then cut him. Mason won't be in the NFL in 2024, so cut him the game check and dress him in case Trubisky gets hurt.

QB IS the #1 need on this team. We don't have a ton of holes truly... Every team (even contenders) have a few. We just can't let QB continue to be the biggest one.

It's almost unbelievable how bad Canada is. All they needed was 10 yards to get in Boswell's range and they pass it 3 times in a row, and in the shotgun formation no less? Lol

Well, if his trajectory doesn’t turn upward I will be all-in on doing something at QB - both 1st and 2nd string (at least). I just don’t see a point going to one of our backups. As bad as Pickett has been, he generally takes care of the ball, and I think he gives us a better chance to win than our other guys. The Browns pass defense is very good. Maybe the best in the NFL.
