At some point, you have to believe what you are seeing. Pickett is wildly erratic. He bails the pocket at the smallest hint of pressure. He misses receivers that are open or doesn't throw it to them because he dumps it off. After watching him at Pitt, I believed he had what it took. Unless he has some sort of revelation, I just don't see it happening with him. As much as I have rooted for him, he doesn't have it.

 

Then you change QBs. The coaches know what they have in Pickett and it's garbage. Coaches would look at this and say perhaps we need to try something else. Do they? No of course not. So Tomlin owns this mess

 

It was tied…. Pay attention

 

He may be but what’s the point? Instead of controlling the clock and get into FG zone, our idiot OC calls for three straight passes with a QB who’s struggling. Yep, outsmarted himself

 

Yep and what do the coaches do? Nothing.

Plus, the game was tied

Pickett had a terrible game, no question, but why are they coming out pass, pass, pass, on that final series and taking 14 seconds off the clock?? Warren is having a monster game and he’s not part of the plan? We were tied, not trailing and there was plenty of time. Brutal play calling.

 

We are probably headed to a downturn. IMO the NFL on the whole pretty much is an AD fueling bad product. If we'd have won 13-10 only Steeler fans would have loved what they saw. Injuries sure has not helped the NFL. The quality of the Players may have declined a tad.

 

Johnson also might have played a terrible game. At the very least, he dropped one on that final possession. At the very least, that burns some time and the Browns don't have as much time for that last drive. It seems like he broke off a route when he should have kept going on the next play. Then again, he also went deep when Pickett thought he was going to break it off earlier in the quarter.

 

The division is gone.

So even if they somehow manage to sneak into the playoffs, they're on the road at Jacksonville, Miami or Baltimore and that won't end well regardless.

 

Can you blame them? This was pathetic

 

Definitely need to upgrade the QB room this offseason.Cannot roll it back with Trubisky. Hopefully the new OC can bring someone who can execute his vision

How many times did they run the screen today? Did MC only have an index card for play calls?

When they got the ball under 2 minutes, first play should've been a run.

Sad thing is I am 55 yrs old and I am seriously afraid that I will never see Pittsburgh win another SB. If they do not overhaul everything from the Head Coach down it will not change and the Roonys live and DIE with their long term decisions! So We are what we are for a long long time!

 

He doesn’t, but if he was even just mediocre today we could have one. Just needed 1 drive from him.

 

Not letting Warren be the feature back of the last series was ridiculous......

 

I am not well know on this board so many may see me as a pessimist. I love the Black and Gold and wear my Steelers jacket in the middle of Nashville area.

With that said, there issues with this organization.


Coaching- Tomlin is one cliche after another. The Steelers should be AFC North and AFC contenders and not content with 500 records.

O Line- needs immediate upgrade.

Coaching- don’t understand the ply calling on they last offensive possession. We needed 10 yards? Then put the game in Boz’ hands.

KP- I’m concerned he doesn’t have it. I’m hoping it’s due to poor OC . Canada must go.

Defense- played well. Maybe I’m wrong but we didn’t blitz last possession. Their qb had all day. Blitz!!! We had one sack?

Special teams - our punter is concerning.


You won’t win many games with 106 passing yards. This looked like a FCs school plying against Bama or UGA.

 

This is what i dont understand, everyone sees week after week how bad KFP IS. But they were winning, lets see how KFP looks after losing to all these rose colored glasses everyone wears.

 

They REALLY slobbered all over the browns the entire game didn’t they?
