Kenny does not see the middle of the field because the game is too fast for him. He does not see it. There is a difference between NFL open and College open for Kenny. I expect him to get better but he needs a better OC and more confidence in himself and his development.

Edit: Forgot to talk about coaching. KFP coaching is subpar and there is a chance offense is being kept simple for him.

Yeah I am not sure why people praise losing Qbs. Some Steelers fans are a hoot. I think Levis scored 4TDs the week previous and looked like the second coming of Montana. How many TDs did he score against the Steelers?

The second season of Bradshaw is 52 years ago,so the football is much different since that time!

His line this past week was ugly against Tampa.....19-39 0 1

The flavor of the week has lost it's flavor so the Troops must shuffle over to CJ Stroud.

Both of those guys had better stats than Pickett, but they made critical mistakes at the end of the game, the only people worried about stats are fantasy geeks . Pickett needs to play better but he hasn't thrown an interception in five games.

You're still wrong Pickett is better than these guys, being clutch late in the game, and not turning the ball over has to be a factor.

We need more from KFP, but You are absolutely correct that not turning the ball over, and being clutch in the end is very important.

It seems to me some fans would are more worried about Pickett stats than wins, look at Sam Howell he has good stats, but his team has a losing record and he has been sacked a league leading 47 times.

Football is a team sport. QB is in my opinion the most important position by far but comparing player vs player win loss records with entirely different supporting casts does not equal apples to apples comparison. The W football team is not as talented overall as the Steelers which is why the records are different. You really think KP is playing as well as Sam Howell right now?? Come on.

All we can hope for is Kenny being a slow learner who gets better over time. Bradshaw was a slow learner.

It is only his second year so this is the only hope left to hold onto but he is not showing any signs of improvement week over week. At this point you would assume you would see some development. He will certainly get next season to show improvement as well but he will really need to move the needle to think we have our franchise QB.

Do you really believe that if Sam Howell were playing in this offensive system, with this head coach's philosophy, and took 29 more sacks than Kenny Pickett has to this point that he would be maintaining drives and scoring tons of points in Pittsburgh? I don't.

I liked Howell going into the draft and thought he would be a good quarterback, but there are differences in the offenses and the play calling both quarterbacks are playing in. Eric Bieniemy's offense is just better than Matt Canada's offense.

I do think Pickett needs to play better, but I also believe that he is still improving. We all wish it would happen faster, but it is happening.

Yeah but really it is Canada that is the problem. Though Kenny is doing his best. Still need an OL to protect Kenny at the line.

Fantasy football has ruined the game IMHO. Every player now focus on more about the stats than what’s best for the team.

I'd love to know what coaching KP is getting during the week. We do have a QB coach, don't we? Don't they work on his weaknesses during the week, or do they just draw up inane game plans? There has been a shift - the first 15 scripted plays used to be awful, and then fourth quarter magic, but lately the first 15 plays are pretty good, then they abandon them and get vanilla. Gotta be a happy medium somewhere.

Again, it wasn't a mistake, it was a situation that his QBs had to force things since it was the last play of the game....It's like blaming a QB for an interception on a hail mary. ... No interception for Pickett is great but he must have way more production than that, 126 passing yards in 26 pass attempts is not good and 13 TD pass in 21 career start is historic bad and no I don't play fantasy football, I've never played that

Most people don't even know what their looking at, or what may cause the play to fail.
Their response is the QB sucks. Granted KFP needs to play alot better, he would be the first to tell you this.
But give him an opportunity to succeed with proper run game, and passing routes that could get receivers running freely in secondary
like SF does and you will see offensive improvement. How come our receivers always have to make a contested catch? Yet
some teams WR;s are WIDE OPEN?

Howell looks better than KP at this point although I do agree the coaching is much better with EB for him. How can you say Pickett is improving? In what is he improving? Not throwing INTs because he doesn’t even try to make difficult or middle of the field throws is not saying much. I’m not being a jerk you are a good poster and reasonable I am just curious as to what areas besides ball control he is improving in.

    Better route runners.

The Steelers have had receivers run free. Kenny then misses or doesn’t see them at all.

This and better schemes. KS is probably the best offensive mind in the game currently. Comparing him to what we have is laughable.

Facts. The Steelers could have a really good OC and KS would still be 100 times better.
