Why is that our receivers never get open and our opponent receivers constantly get open and have big gains. Is Pickett not seeing them or our offensive plays just suck? It seems like the only way to get our receivers open is by illegal picks.

Pickett checks it down scared most of the time and is afraid to throw the ball to the middle of the field. He looks really really bad right now. Arguably the worst starting QB in the NFL.

Its been like this for over 3 years now, doesn’t matter who is the qb either! Is it all the qbs , OC or are our wrs not that good? Hmmm

He’s not a starter. He’s 3rd string only playing because of injuries.

I'ts our coaches they cant seem to coach players up, or scheme... Seems like most players that leaves here and goes on to play somewhere else, plays prty solid for that team

No Mack Jones has that locked up. He was benched for the 3rd time this year during a game.

You know that is true, it used to not be true Back in the day when a Steeler left they seldom found success with another team.

Yea it’s either Kenny or Mac but statistically besides INTs (which is obviously an important stat) Mac is much better.

Pickett is not the worst starting QB in the NFL. He takes care of the ball and doesn’t turn it over. He’s come close a couple of times but at the end of the day his play is adequate enough to get the win. Our receivers are never open compared to the teams we play against.

At least we haven’t broken the bank for Pickett the way the Giants have for Jones.

The better question is why do other teams get away with holding, obstructing, hand fighting past the 5 yard chuck zone, while the Steelers do not. As for the original question they do, but they also have poorly designed routes that don't attack or plays that waste the players they do have.

Yeah and the only QB'S in the league that have more wins this year than Pickett are Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff and Lamar Jackson.

I can answer the why KFP is not doing so well. He is nervous, has happy feet and does not progress through his reads. If he did he would see more of the field. Even though he is not doing as well as we all would like I still respect him for having the longest streak for active QBs in the league with the most throws without an INT.

The Kenny bashers can't be bothered with such fats. They got some bellyaching to do.

I also respect him for playing through injuries without complaining, never blaming his teammates for anything and wanting to be out there. I hope he works through his problems and I hope some of our "fans" go cheer for some other team if he does.

Because our offense plays and routes are not designed to get guys wide open or get yards after the catch , every route our guys run is set up for a small quick gain and a small window to be open ( like curl routes ) or streaks on the side line, big slants post routes across the middle or TE fades are routes that give u big seperation and yards after the catch

Do you even watch the NFL? Pickett is nowhere near the worst starting QB, Falcons, Giants, Jets, Panthers, Bears, Patriots, Raiders all say hi.

Just watched the Buff/Denver game and every throw they were raving about was to a receiver with at least 5 yards of separation. We almost never see that with the Steelers!

I said arguably the worst. Guys like Mac Jones and Watson until last week could certainly make a case. Jordan Love as well although he also had a solid game last week.

Those are mostly second and third stringers playing because of injuries. I said STARTING QBs. I also said arguably which if you look at the stats besides INTs he is right there with even some of these backups (Danny Devito not withstanding)
