Nowadays the smart QBs just get ChatGPT to do the test for them.

Didn't Trubisky have a higher Wonderlic than Roethlisberger?

QB is a tough position to backfill.
Peyton, Brady, Mahomes don't come in every draft.
It's an expensive move and a risky one at that to go after one.

    I don't know.
I never said it was be all end all. Nothing is that I know of, but I know that back in the day most that scored low....there was a reason for it. I don't know how it's done today. I have no clue.

Qbs, and CBs are IMO the hardest to get a read on from college to what they will do in the NFL.

My friend read this (an eagle fan) and said the Steelers should look into dumping Tomlin and hiring you. He thinks Tomlin is a huggy feely type Coach and believes you'd set em straight.:lolol:

#3 doesn't scare me as much as 3rd and any yardage for us. I use to get off the couch and get pumped when Ben R. had a big 3rd down to make. Now I go hide behind couch and peek over the top with Kenny.

I agree it could be and that is going to be a problem for us older fans. One great thing for us older Pittsburgh sport guys, we had the joy of 7 Championships in 10 years. 4 Steelers, 2 Pirates and believe it or not the Pitt Panthers won an NCAA title. Really hoped the Steelers would have gotten Tony Dorsett but he became a Cowboy.

Instead, the Seahawks traded the No. 2 overall pick to the Cowboys for a first-rounder that year and three second-round picks. Then the Bucs, being incompetent, chose Ricky Bell first overall, allowing Dallas to draft Dorsett.

I've already prepared myself for the fact that Pickett will be the Steelers starting QB next season. They will be patient as is their way. Fine. Get a quality OC, a quality center, possibly another decent WR'er and a competent back-up not named Mitch Trubisky. And take the cuffs off and let him use the full play book and change plays as he sees fit. Sink or swim. They should know full well by 2024 end of season whether they have viable starting QB or not.

Stop telling people about what you see with your "expert" eyes. You couldn't be more wrong. You keep saying you watch all this tape, but you don't know what you're looking at much of the time.

Pickett is killing it in play action.

    Per DK Pittsburgh Sports:

"Pickett has benefitted from the Steelers' usage of play-action, even with the running game largely struggling with consistency this season.

On those plays, Pickett has completed 20 of 27 passes (74.1%) for 228 yards and a 123.7 passer rating. Two of Pickett's six passing touchdowns this season were thrown as a result of play-action.

On play-action, Pickett is averaging 8.4 yards per attempt and 9.9 air yards per attempt, compared to 6.2 yards and 5.7 air yards on non-play-action plays this season. On non-play-action plays this season, Pickett is completing 59.6% of his passes with four touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 76.0 rating.

He has substantially improved with the usage of play-action this season compared to last. In 2022, Pickett completed 60% of his passes with no touchdowns, an interception, and a 65.9 rating out of play-action. He was also throwing it for shorter distances on those play-action passes in 2022, as he averaged 4.8 yards and 4.1 air yards per play-action pass."

LoL. See Letting people tell You instead of seeing for yourself......because of You did...you would know this is false. Play action, and run pass option is not the same. So you need to dig deeper...., or watch with your own eyes. Oh wait You can't.....Your too busy keep writing Me. Yap Yap Yap puppy. LoL is so funny You wrote all this out, and don't know the differences between Play action, and run pass option. LoL :lolol::applaud:
This is why we've had plays called back with OL down the field.....because it wasn't play action....it was run pass option., but I don't expect someone who get their info from others to know this. LoL

It’s not the end all be all, but the thing about Bradshaw, Marino, Cunningham and Kelly is that they all had physical attributes that allowed them to overcome other deficiencies. I’m not sure Pickett has that.

You just keep telling everybody that they should listen to you. You don't know what you're talking about.

Everyone can read the entire article and see for themselves.

Yap Yap Yap....oh puppy dog. LoL. I'm sure You friend will hit agree though...so at least You have that. LoL
Oh edit.....I don't care who listens to Me. Especially not some puppies. LoL

Where is Broderick Jones. He should never see the bench again.

Who has the longest no INTs streak going in the NFL presently? Yup KFP. Not to say he is not without his issues but his conservative throws are making a difference in turnovers.
