I have NOT made that clear. I said he needs to show clear improvement over the remainder of this season. I came into the season thinking it was mostly a Canada problem, and then I started to take the time to watch the All-22 film.

Oh ok. Sure seems that way since you seem to pounce on anything that doesn’t say “Kenny sucks”.

they are as bad as I think. I think they are +1 or -1 around .500. thought that pre-season.

their offense is a disgrace. KP in particular, DJ sucks, no TE presence and Canada blows. and no ability to get the ball to #14. and it took them 7 weeks to get the animal #1 move up in the draft OL T on the field. Yes, the passing offense is pathetic. Running is improving but TRUST ME, CLE will SHUT IT DOWN and Kenny will show us all how bad he is on Sunday. He will not be able to throw them out of the box.

    It will be really painful.

Hope Harvin get lots of reps in this week...

Be depressing to lose both. If we can just win one I'll have confidence we can hit 10 W's. I think it is the number we will need for a Playoff spot.

"Steelers. Not as bad as you think."

    You're right - they're probably even worse.

That's exactly how I see it. Only way to 10 is winning one of the next two IMO.

I've always said I'd love to hear this, "the Steelers have to be the worse team to ever win a Super Bowl". I'd get a shirt made up something like, "That's 7 and for #8 we'll try and look better". ;)

BTW, you said that he’s only allowed to throw sideline throws. Where’s your source for that assertion? Do you really think he’s being told not to throw to receivers who are open in the middle of the field?

It's obvious. Look man, you see a QB that isn't any good and I see a staff that sucks. We see two completely different things. I'm not arrogant enough to say "I'm right". That's just what I believe. Enjoy your day.

I do as well our OC is getting better IMO our QB not so much .. KP has all kinds of weapons and should be doing better even if they draw plays up in the dirt..

Our OC is doing much better with the running game. Running more power with pulling linemen seems to work better for our personnel. In the passing game, not so much. See my post in the Canada thread about option routes and motion at the snap on pass plays.

Will do and I agree , but you would think that run success would equate to more passing success even if the play designs still need a lot of work..

I don't think the Steelers can run with the Chiefs.
I'm not really sure anyone can.

The Steelers don't even fit in my 'Who has the best chance to get hot when it counts'
I figure The Colts, Bills and possibly the Chargers can turn up the heat down the stretch.
The Steelers are in danger of losing out of the playoffs if not careful.

    Injuries just keep piling up.
    The Offense is sluggish.
The Defense seems to it with smoke and mirrors.
If they close out the schedule 4-4, that might be good enough.

I can't call them the worst team but certainly not the best.
Mid pack is a bit of a reach for me.
The Chiefs, Ravens and Dolphins can score a lot on you, and you've got to be able to put up some points.

I think it might be the Chiefs/49ers anyway.

When we were 11-0 many said we were the worst 11-0 team ever, then the truth of late season ball hit us. Granted there was some pretty shaky scheduling changes that did not help, but the wheels fell off. Not even comparing those teams, but we are not a good team. Yes we are 6-3 and might make the play offs, but as lucky as we have been in the wins, you can also see how easily we can get ripped apart if the other team does not fall apart. Not even talking about blow outs, hell 5 games were decided with last second FG's yesterday, but there is no real identity or confidence in most anything we do.

Because it's absolutely both. The scheme is terrible and everything starts from there. Canada is Problem 1 and there's no discussion. Still, there are times when the OL does its job, receivers are open and KP is still making the wrong decision, showing happy feet, staring down receivers, bailing, and/or throwing inaccurately. He's not improving, and sometimes even regressing, in those areas. We know he would benefit from better coaching but some of this stuff is simple QBing 101. At 26, he shouldn't have to be told basic things and it's a big warning sign. Bad wonderlic, tiny hands, or whatever the reason, he's not good enough right now. He's going to get another season, and we're all praying it's with a real OC and staff, but even vast improvements in coaching is going to bring with it the growing pains of learning a new scheme.

Keep in mind that the Steelers defense has won many of these games, not just Kenny putting a drive together at the end. The Chargers have allowed 24.5ppg from the beginning of the 2022 season until now. If Kenny Pickett played against 24.5 points in every game he’s started, he’d be 3-18.

We grumble because he’s objectively been bad to start this year and we were expecting/hoping for a jump in production that hasn’t come yet. We won’t continue to win games with 180 yds a game passing and 17-18 ppg. It just won’t cut it in the NFL. He has to be better.

If Herbert was the QB of this Steelers team, we’d be Super Bowl contenders. His team sucks because he is essentially the entire team.

And yet 6 of 9 teams the Steelers faced do not have a losing record as of today.

I can't agree with this. Even though I think Herbert is pretty good. Last game He did well at the end...., but many....many times He's had the ball at the end if games to win it, and done nothing.
It's not always what You do , but when you do it. I'm not saying this is what He's doing, but just using stats, and how they can look good, but aren't really.
A Qb could throw 2 tds a game .....every game in the 1st half, and do nothing in the 2nd half, but every other game throw a pick in the last part of the game.....He would have 34 tds, and only 8 , or 9 ints. That would look awesome on the stat sheet, but not in the game When they need it. Again I'm not saying that's what he does, but it's close to what He does a lot. When the game is on the line ....not always, but a lot of times....he disappears.
