Muth wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire before his injury. I’d like to see the Steelers start throwing the ball to the middle of the field. I’d love to know exactly why they don’t. It’s not pick it and it wasn’t Mitch and it wasn’t big Ben.

 

I assumed it was never mind or no message, but I was curious about why.

 

Really....isn't 5 of Trubisky's ints from the middle of the field???? I promise they are running routes in the middle of the field.

Sure Mitch throws down the middle once in a great while and guess what an interception. The route schemes and all offensive scheme suck. They are not helping these quarterbacks out at all. Every other team in the league and quarterback is making throws over the middle. we had the same thing going on with big Ben Remember when he wouldn’t throw to the middle of the field either? I’m telling you something don’t smell right here.

 

I have a feeling the concussions have played a role in him being in a funk. Hopefully he's sat and watched long enough to get out of that funk.

 

Yeah ....I remember when Ben wasn't throwing to the middle of the field very much. After He was old, and had a reconstructed elbow. I don’t think the OC is good. Hell everyone thats been on here knows I hated the hiring. I'm just saying that the routes are there, and I guarantee nobody is telling him if it's open...don't throw it. Maybe He doesn't trust what He's seeing in the middle of the field???

I read where he said he wanted to play last week but the rules of IR wouldn’t allow him to. If I’m wrong I apologize but it seemed he was a lock for this week.

 

Big Ben could still make those throws. And how the hell is throwing to the middle of the field harder on the elbow than throwing a 10 yard out which is all we ever do with any quarterback

Not just for Jones but watch the green bay linebackers and safeties. I believe this is both coaching and execution. The last play he breaks down where Kenny scrambles for a first down was a perfect play call and personnel package if the could have identified what the Packers were showing and called a hot route. #59 for the Packers is focused on Warren so much he does realize if he moves its a huge hole in the middle. Pickens is the slot receiver in that bunch and his guy has backed off and shaded towards the sideline and not the middle of the field. GB thinks they know the play and they have the Steelers cold. They are expecting Warren to get the ball and are playing it that way. If he sees that Pickens has a free release and a huge hole in the middle of the field that play is gone.
