Minschew is very underrated. He’s this gen’s Ryan Fitzpatrick. The guy gives his team a chance to win every opportunity he gets

 

If Minshew is so good, then why is he a backup .

Imagine that Kenny Pickett went to Iowa St and was drafted by the Cleve Browns, but had exactly the same performance he’s had so far with the Steelers. This board would be laughing about the lame ass QB this Steelers D would be playing against this coming week.

I think everyone can see that Kenny has not progressed and may not be the answer. If that is the case I hope the team has the courage to move on and not drag this out for four or five years while the clock counts down in the careers of Cam, Tj, Minkah and others.

The front office appear to have done really well in the past draft and seem to know how to build the roster but it’s all for nothing if you don’t have a QB that can give you a chance against the better teams in the playoffs.

 

I hate to break this to you. If he isn't the answer this team WILL drag it out for 4 or 5 years. He gets year 3 by default because he will have a new OC. After year 3, he either gets a 5th year option, or if they don't think he's earned it, then they have him play his 4th year to prove if they should give him a long term contract.

 

I think the front office may be a little more aggressive than in the past but yes I agree they’ll give him next season at an absolute minimum.

 

Pickett likely gets next year but the bottom line is he’s not getting any better. I’m beginning to believe Rudolph may actually be the best QB on the roster. Trubisky has the most pure talent but he makes too many bad mistakes.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Steelers go QB anywhere after the first round next year. And I think if they don’t, it’s pretty much a certainty they draft one the year after.
