I don't want the Steelers to get swept by the stains.I know the season's a wash and it does not matter,But finishing 500 and beating them matters too me. What do you guys think? :smiley1:

I read that Cleveland is starting Johnny-never-heard-of-ya at QB so, our D should have a field day. Which, of course, means we'll probably lose.

A loss may "really" get the attention from ownership, demanding the issues to be fixed.

Wake up and edit your post. The Rooneys arent going to do anything bc of a losing season.

You hear fans wanting a team to tank a game to get a better draft pick. I will never feel this way. Ever. It's about competition and winning. The season has been far less than stellar, the best thing they can do is at least finish it on a high note (at least higher than it has been) and get a win under their belt before heading into the off season.

About as bad as people saying 'I hope we dont make it to the playoffs'. Not me, even if it was one and done, I wanted us there. Now those people have their wish, the bungals and ratturds are there and we re not.

I expect to blow them out, the Browns have injuries everywhere... Which is a shame, because I'd really like to get the higher draft pick.

The NFL is a marathon not a sprint, and while I don't condone tanking a game for a better draft pick, I would not play any starters in this game (punishment for a bad season? - I don't know) and give as many of the backup players a chance to fight for their positions for next year, and let the results fall as they may.

It will be painful, but I'll take the draft picks. I wouldn't be surpised at all if they identified some talent and traded back to pick up an pick or two. Although I really think they need to hit a homerun in this draft.

yeah , when we needed the win they were in full force and we had a rusty batch ,now that we have to lose they are all injurie , this season was a nightmare from the beginning , started with spence and decastro blowing knees and finished with miller the same , in the middle we had ben knocking out . incredible

Do you honestly think that Rooney, and everyone else in the organization, hasn't been paying attention?

Just play who's available (NO STARTERS) they have numbed Steeler Nation know one is going to remember whether they finished 7-9 or 500. Play for pride?? now? set the sights on the draft.

I really don't care one way or the other, I keep forgetting we even have a game this week. If we win, it won't make me feel any better about the season, if we lose, then we will get a slightly better draft pick.

Pretty much...and to the poster who said we will blow the Browns out because they have a ton of injuries...have you seem OUR injury report lately? Heath and Ike on IR and now Wallace has a hip injury and is unlikely to play.

Remember - The Substandard IS the Substandard! I say we lose again by a FG after a 99 yd KO return fumble on the first play of OT by Rainey at the 1 yard line that is returned 98 yds by the Brownies. Why not?
