I think that right now, NFL teams are telling everyone who the best WR on this team is. It's George Pickens.

Pickens is the player that is getting double-teamed, bracketed, and the #1 priority defensive secondaries are trying to take away. That tells you everything you need to know about who the better WR is at this moment. All NFL defenses have identified Pickens as the best WR here.

The sad part about Pickens's attitude about DJ catching a touchdown pass and getting more action than him is that he doesn't seem to realize that if DJ could keep punishing defenses for trying to stop DJ with single coverage, Pickens may see less double coverage and his numbers will bounce back. Pickens should be celebrating DJ having a big game, but we know that he doesn't have enough maturity, common sense, and perspective to understand that DJ putting up big numbers is his path back to looking more dominant if they have to roll coverage away from him and play him more straight up.

 

Remember how well Antonio made Ju Ju look because he was being double teams and Ju Ju wasn't. Pickens has to understand that its about winning but these guys want the stats and highlight reels so they can secure the big contract, if not here someplace else. That's what that behavior shows. Some will say its his competitive fire, nah, its always about the money now!!

I watched some tape somewhere from this game and his route running just sucks. He always starts like he doesn't care about the play. I don't get it.

 

Did Tomlin cause him to lazily drift out of the end zone costing his team a touchdown? He is supposed to be a pro and they pay him very well for his services. This is not biddy league, if they call your number catch the ball. If they call someone else’s number, block. This diva crap is stupid. Didn’t we have enough of the Juju social media drama.

True, a doubled edge sword. The WRs are valued by catches and yards at contract time, so I can understand him wanting the ball. The team only wants to win and GMs uses stats of performance to negotiate contracts. So the game begins there.

 

Say what you want about JuJu’s social media stuff, but no one could ever question his effort and he was usually the first guy there to celebrate a TD by one of his fellow receivers.

I agree with the stuff about Pickens. He needs to grow up and be a professional.

 

Apparently we, the fans were all over reacting to his actions Friday which were meaningless as he refollowed the team and reinstated all his deleted content.

Finally we get blamed for something huzzah.

Apparently things have gotten so bad at Sports Illustrated that they let anyone post articles under the SI banner. I can't take an article seriously when they use the terms former and latter and spell it ladder.

I don't think Pickens is in Antonio Brown territory because AB was really in another level at the end with us but Pickens is more in the Terrell Owens territory for his attitude...Both have no off-field issues but Pickens needs to get better at controlling his emotions although it's true that it's discouraging to play in a Matt Canada offense
