It takes a little more for us experienced fans to be impressed enough to go “whoa”

I agree, the ball was slightly underthrown, but the thing about that play is that defender had no business covering a 4.3 guy that close, except he already knew the play was coming. Like a few weeks ago when Steven Nelson intercepted a similar play because he knew it before the snap.

I wanted us to draft that kid from Carolina .. He looks better than KP at this point , but with the Steelers OC we really have no clue about KP at this point ..

He who's name shall not be mentioned was a pretty good QB until the SB.
You must be bald. Kenny has long hair? No, Trevor Lawrence has long hair. Troy Polamalu has long hair. Justin Herbert wears that girly head band on his "Long, silky shampooed hair"

They talk about Kenny being a student of the game and how he sat in the film room with Patrick Peterson and DBs to improve. That is great that he did that, but where he needs to improve is his pocket awareness. A few incompletions thrown were where he stated in the pocket (which is one area of improvement), but he had room to step up in the pocket and didn't. It's a few little things that will make big differences down the road in his development.

Are you serious? Back to back games against Pats and Eagles, i think they were in his first 20 games?! Unreal with the Big Ben hate some post on here. You didn’t notice the pocket presence Ben had from the very first game? Or the winning td throw in his first game against Miami? Get serious, go watch old Ben games on YouTube, oh i see your a big Pitt fan. That explains it all.
Plus didnt Ben start out winning 15 in a row? Wow, nuthug much on KFP? You an @GoldBurgh are a little disoriented about KFP, nice enthusiasm tho.
Only reason KFP starting is he is a tad bit better than our sucky ass backups! Yet some on here believe our 3 stringer is the best option, hell no other team even wanted Mason , probably have to pay someone to take him off our hands! LOL
Heres an idea, blame it on OC for KFP missed throws, no pocket presence, happy feet and failure to read zone defenses. You are correct we are all retarded except for you.

I also can't help think before the 2022 draft there was talk about Kenny going to New Orleans because he fit the Drew Brees mold. I don't think Kenny would have done much better with Sean Payton gone at that time either. It never is a fair assessment when some of these young QBs come in and are compared to HOF QBs. It is just too much pressure. I remember Rick Miers coming out of Notre Dame being compared to Joe Montana even to the point of seeing side by side comparisons with the ND helmet and analyst even stating, "He kind of even looks like Montana with the same eyes." That is really pushing the optimistic narrative for success. Kenny has received some of that optimism himself: Yes, he played at Pitt. Yes, he broke Marino's records, but that is where it ends.

Howell was my #1 QB in that draft. However, my preference was not to take any QB in the 1st round.

So Stroud is for real. Almost 500 Yards passing today and a thrilling winning drive.

    Never mind that either.

CJ Stroud was either the best or 2nd best QB while also being a Universial Top 3 to Top 5 Overall Pick by the National Media. Kenny Pickett was fringe 1st Round to even top of the third by most Media Outlets. I will no doubt concur that the Houston Texans will be bigger players in the AFC for years to come now that CJ Stroud definitley is the guy to get them to the promised land.

This all said, how will Stroud look in year two?! Who knows?!

Howell might not even be able to walk by Seasons End should this continue. He is getting mauled alive out there.

12 and, what...5? 12 and 5 over last 17. Guy has been beat but he doesn't pull a Watson. Some of you think QB's grow on trees. KP needs coaching and consistency but damn he's definitely got something special to him. Serious poise when in crunch time. You can't coach that.

I'm all on board to see where the season goes. Evaluate at end of year and do what you got to do.

Ben was incredible. I often wonder why very few other QB's utilize the pump fake. Such a deadly weapon.

That requires him to see that before the snap and trust that at the snap it’s the same look and just rip it and take that hit!

He’s got to come off whatever he’s supposed to read there. If that play is designed to get Austin on the LB then that needs to be the primary read.

Steelers should trade Trubisky and Rudolph to Vikings for Dobbs...and bring Duck back from CFL. :lolol:

Dobbs would be a great #2 QB

Ben stopped doing it for long stretches towards the end though. He had just full arm throw pump fakes that just made you doubt what you saw!

Let's trade Kenny straight up for Dobbs, keep Mason and add Duck. That would shut a lot of the QB whisperers up as THAT would be one helluva QB room.
