Agreed. Look at the game thread. I ripped Pickett for poor play throughout the thread, but Pickens reacting so selfishly by seeming to pout after Johnson's score and then whining through social media after the game is even more galling given that he wasted an opportunity to score a touchdown by being lazy with his footwork. We all know how good he is on the sideline when he bothers to make sure he gets both feet in bounds, so there is no excuse for the blown touchdown Thursday night.

 

Cousins will be 36 years old and coming off a major injury. He will also probably be more expensive. At best, he would be a risky short-term solution.

I am not sure he does, he might be an alien. an amazing athlete - and our problem - we knew that when he was drafted. Now we sleep in that bed.

 

Hell people think I'm always disagreeing with people, but if anyone pays attention I agree with people on here more than I disagree. Hell @Formerscribe , and I have had pages of disagreements, but I agree with more than 90% of what He writes.

I couldn't come up with a percentage, but yeah, we agree on a lot. It's just that when we do disagree, we do so vehemently.

Well, I can think of something more frustrating. Imagine being a quarterback with four 300 lbs men chasing you around trying to pummel you....and you are going through your progressions to a WR that isn't where he is supposed to be because he isn't playing hard. Pickens doesn't potentially get crushed and sacked by multiple huge men because someone else didn't get him the ball. And on top of that, then everyone blames the quarterback for everything.

I agree that there are ways the OC should be helping Pickens so he isn't always facing double coverage and helping all the receivers in general by putting them in better position to succeed. I just hate the diva types that demand so much of everyone else for their own personal wants.

Not sure why so many people keep saying Pickens is better than DJ. Pickens has a better catch radius for sure and is more physical. DJ is better in pretty much every other way.

Pickens is still quite raw. Hes not particularly good at getting separation whereas DJ is, so DJ is going to get targeted more.

I think Pickens is an idiot and I'd have a very harsh conversation with him if I was Tomlin. He can either get with the program of be inactive. I know that won't happen though. NFL players are rarely held accountable

Excellent points but 36 is ancient anymore at QB. Perhaps they could get him cheaper coming off injury as a short term rental and let Pickett sit and learn for a year or two behind him. We’re wasting Watts and Minkah career at this point with Picketts development. If we have to start all over at QB I would not be surprised if Minkah and Watt as well as Pickens ask to be traded.

A poster yesterday said he goes to all the home games and sees him run half a$$ his routes all the time. I totally agree with the comment about getting hit. Pickens whining while Pickett has gotten 2 concussions, a knee scare, a rib scare and who knows what else and this deadbeat is running half a$$ routes.
