I will say other than Bradshaw if Noll had a player issue he stated he solicited Joe Greene’s help

Swann most certainly did for the first few years. He was the first round golden child and Stallworth was a fourth round afterthought. Fortunately, Stallworth kept working hard and was always a good teammate and finally became one of the most important members of that offense. Swanny was THE GUY in Super Bowl X but by Super Bowl XIV it was Stallworth coming up big in big moments. Watching Pickens pout over an insignificant TNF game when he will hopefully have a long and productive career ahead of him is absolutely pathetic!

just like franco and rocky. it wasn't just about thurs. game. he was underused the game before as well. two in a row since DJ came back. he was ballin out when DJ was out and now barely anything. he is a talent and it's not about one play it's about the lack of usage. you can't tell me the kid is never open since DJ has been back.

That may or may not be true, we don't know.
I do know there was a window when AB and Bell both had huge trade value (compared to zero value for the Steelers at the time) and the Steelers waited until it was almost completely closed before they made a move and got next to nothing in return.

Is this a thing with WR playing for the Steelers. AB was great, now he is crazy. Is Pickins starting to go through the same drama? We will wait and see.

I understand the guys frustration. He is superior to Johnson from a talent perspective and he got a taste of being a number one. From his perspective the QB play is shaky and who knows for how long that is going to be. The OC doesn’t really scheme him open and who knows how long that will be. These guys have a short time to make their mark and get a lucrative second contract. If he isn’t getting targeting he isn’t gong to make the money his talent warrants on that second contract. On top of all of this he is a competitor. Now what I fault him for is the way he is gong about this. He could handle it better, but I can understand how frustrating it would be going out on pass plays over and over again and seeing less talent get attention, not to mention when the ball is thrown your way it is overthrown or a terrible route to give you no chance to make a play. I get it he missed on the toe drag on the TD but for the most part he has been pretty solid with those.

Is it your mission to go against me on every post. Were you born a Dick or have you worked to become like this? That guy posted it as if every fan wants him traded as if it is a fact. That is his opinion. I am sure there are fans who desire to keep the guy. I certainly do. He is a generational talent.

I could not possibly care less about you or anyone else on this board

It was actually meant as a friendly reply

But just like GoldBunny you decided to get whiney about it

Maybe you should just put me on ignore if you don’t have a pair

I find it interesting that 99.9 % of the posters on here have no problem with me or anyone else

And then there are a handful of whiney snowflakes

On that last throw to Johnson it certainly looked like double coverage. Pickett appears to be more comfortable throwing to Johnson, but the real issue is when you have a talent like Pickens you figure out how to scheme him open. Good Coaches do it every week with their star WR’s. The Steelers are not doing that. Plus Pickens is on my fantasy team I need him to do well.

Ok Karen. You're entitled to your opinion as I am mine. Just don’t present your opinion as fact when it clearly is an opinion. That is what grates me. You forgot your periods again.

Imagine walking into a bar, sitting down at the only seat available next to a guy that never shut up and was always right.....You move to the other side of the bar, he then follows you to that spot and continues to make your ears bleed. You leave the bar and he tells himself that you were soft. lol, crazy world we live in.

I'm torn on my view of George as I want him to straighten up fast as I love his talent and he blocks. Let's hope Kenny gets more accurate now that Jones is in there. I think he will and this will all be forgotten. Wishful thinking as I don't think Pickens can control himself (like the guy at the bar, lol) but we'll see.

That's 100% correct and I think it's easy to see why. They run routes over and over and nothing happens and half the time they know before they run the route that nothing is going to happen. They go insane, especially if they are good. Give anything to trade him out for Addison.

I hear you. I have no problem when somebody disagrees with my opinion but when that said person always presents their argument as if it is factual its annoying. I don’t know how to explain it .... the guy tries to use humor with his little snide remarks. You know what it is he acts like he speaks for everyone on the forum as if he is the forum mouth piece and everyone agrees with him so your opinion must be wrong. Thats how he presents his side of the argument as if the whole forum agrees with him. It has happened more than once. I guess that is just his way of arguing. He can’t let his own opinion stand on its own.

I don’t like the way Pickens is acting either. Hopefully Tomlin will address this and nip it in the bud. I understand the guys frustration he just needs to handle it better. You want guys like that on your team though. Those guys are competitors and they have a fire and talent that can’t be taught.

Now that was a good comeback. I like that kind of humor.
