I've been to most of the home game this year. I can tell you every time Pickens isn't the primary read on a play because he barely runs his routes.

Pickens seems to be having LeVeon Bell syndrome. Maybe he needs to talk with LeVeon so he doesn’t make the same mistake.

    Plaxico was like this

My wife could tell the play by watching him

If he walked out of the huddle it was a run

If he ran out it was a pass

If he ran out rubbing his hands he was the primary receiver

People think NE stole our plays they didn’t they saw the same thing my wife did during the same game

Yeah I've noticed things like that. Sometimes if i see a receiver getting fidgety like he's prepping it seems on most occasions the ball is probably going to him.

I gotta think as a defender you can easily see this in your opponent as you are on them all game. And I'm hoping coaches talk about this and tell them hey try to do the same thing before every play run or pass.

Just like not tipping your pitches. If I were a db I would prep that week at trying to pick up on behavior of the guy I'm facing. Talk about making your life easier as a DB. But I never played foosball and maybe they do what I would do which is mix things up to lull the DB into thinking maybe its a run when I'm running a deep route or something.

They could have fed DJ and Pickens all night and had had them both satisfied had any one of the guys upstairs told Tomlin and Canada how much the Titans corners were playing off the line you give them a death of a thousand cuts. Force them to come up tighter where DJ, Pickens, and Austin can get behind them before safety help gets over. All you have to do is tell Kenny if he sees that cushion check to slant pass and don't bother taking a step back. Thier spread offense doesn't spread anyone out. The front seven stay in the box with maybe a safety walking up and then Canada plays into their hands by calling plays with routes that go for 20 yards. They don't ever use the short passing game to back the linebackers off and force the coverage tight which means any run play has Najee looking at 5 vs 7 and no where to go. It boggles the mind the talent they have and how completely lost they look.

Yes, but all the guys you mentioned have actually established themselves as top tier receivers and THEN started acting up. Pickens is skipping ahead to say the least.

Besides the 2 you mentioned above there are easily 5 more receivers I could name off the top of my head that I'd take over Pickens in a heartbeat

Who's condoning his behavior?! I am most certainly not. All I did was agree on a point regarding Picketts slow starts.

Well... Herbs is still out of his element here. I understand Amazon on finding a good team of Broadcasters but was Kirk really the only major option?! Al Michaels I am fine with but Kirk?!

C'mon Jeff Bezos. Even by your standards of playing it safe... that is a bit too safe. :lolol:

They don’t ask him to run the full route tree, and speculation is because he can’t.

So this is my thing. Ultimately this is probably going to come down to who does the organization value more between Pickett and Pickens, because if Pickett's game doesn't vastly improve one of them is going to have to go. This is likely to happen by next seasons trade deadline because Pickens and Pickett both will be in a contract year the following season after.

As far as im concerned Pickens has proven that he is a #1 receiver talent. Pickett has proven to be barely more then a game manager. This is a no brainer decision the organization will have to make if this current trend continues with the mediocre play with Pickett, but only if they can assure themselves of getting a QB who can get Pickens the ball. If they can't then they'll have to let Pickens go because I don't see how he won't continually grow toxic to the locker room if he's not able to showcase who he is.

Hi social media is back to normal, all the Steelers stuff back on there. Maybe he saw sense or maybe he was just messing around for attention.

Either way he needs to stop the on-field tantrums. He is a really good player in the making and should be a big part of the offence but he is not doing himself any favours with this behaviour.

Not the type of player I want on my team. He can have all world talent and I still don't want him.
I hope the Steelers grant his wishes.

People that were just at the game said he was running lazy routes.

I guess you forgot all the BS AB and Lev Bell made for their teammates and coaches. We don't need this childish behavior

that are also playing for a big contract? There are only so many footballs to go around.

You and many others don’t blame him for not even enjoying his teammate scoring for the first time in 2 years?

First thing that clearly crossed his mind when DJ scored was “ whoa is me”. Eff teammates like that. Get him outta here.

the kid is a talent. he has shown it. you get the ball to your best players. pickens, DJ and warren and then good things will happen. just like we finally got jones on the field. just do it and let the machine eat. put your best players in a position to win. how they celebrate that win is besides the point. DJ put himself in the position he's in. good for him he got a TD finally but don't step over a quarter to pick up a nickel.

If I’m his agent I sit him down and say…look, trade deadline is past. You’re here for the remainder of the year. You keep acing like a mental midget and you’ll have limited suitors in the off-season. Right now you’re a lot of drama with little production (whether his production is his fault or not, it’ll be used against him). Every childish act is losing both of us money on a future contract. It’s time to be a professional, George. No one in the NFL cares about your problems, most people are glad you have them.

If I was playing in a Matt Canada offense for 2 years I would probably be frustrated as well. The difference today is with social media these kids can’t help themselves and then all the world can see their immaturity. Hopefully this will blow over we need him big time.
