Definitely not an indictment of you. Just remember that guy as he seems to have an unhealthy hatred of Pickett to where he tweets about him all day long. If Pickens really did unfollow DJ and Tomlin, he honestly should never play another snap here again. But he will because the culture is trash.

I'd hope the whole team unfollowed their own social media and the teams and concentrate on practice and getting better.

Haven’t we seen this movie before? Oh for the days of Hines Ward that cared more about a great block than a great catch.

Benching him accomplishes nothing. Did he break any team rules? It certainly doesn't seem like it. It won't wake up a spoiled jackass like him. It will hurt the team short-term and cut into his value if they decide to trade him. This team must stop letting guys force their way out for pennies on the dollar.

This is idiotic behavior by Pickens. They can't trade him right now. The less he does, the more his value drops. The more his value drops, the less likely they are to grant his wish if he does want out.

Kenny may or may not work out, but it’s sad to see him get trashed by so-called Steeler fans. This fan base should be better than that. But social media, as Charlie Strong said, is the downfall of society. Pickens has no-doubt seen all kinds of posts like that one and it has only fueled his frustrations.

Darn just a few days ago you could have gotten a load of Draft Picks for him. Chiefs would love him.

I really have to wonder who is vetting these players?
Does anybody know the chain of command, how a potential
    draft pick is handled.

Pickens won`t be round for long, get what you can from him and trade after yr 3. By that time, MT and KP will have had their fill and we will be entertained. Rinse and repeat on most of these guys. I look at players as just objects to be smashed about and move on from.

Pickens is the new Brown. If only he was productive as his psycho predecessor.

    Edit (wanted to add):
That the Steelers keep generating sh!+ stirring divas is yet another poor reflection on Tomlin, as well as the drafting vetters. This team desperately needs a disciplinarian at the helm, instead of the Bestie BFF HC that Tomlin is - and has always been.

Yep. Tomlin has developed an embarrassing culture of "look at me, look what I did". This ain't your daddy's Steelers and shame on Tomlin for dragging us here.

Possible that he set his Instagram to private, because all the "expert fans" ragging/ dogging him for his mistake last night....? Who knows his account may have been hacked?,or someone running his account may have posted it on their own..... If he is having a hissy fit, Tomlin is partly to blame for not getting him under control .....But Tomlin is a more of a "Ill be your friend than he is a coach" ..... This will all come out in the future.. so ill with hold Judgement on him/ this untill then .

Rudolph made the cut, LOL. Mason's probably been telling him all the dirt.

"Not only did Pickens do that, but he unfollowed all offensive teammates aside from college teammate Broderick Jones and Mason Rudolph. The last move he would make was to scrub his entire page of Steelers-related posts. Is that concerning for a potential blow-up from George Pickens?"

They normally zero in on high character players now. As a final draft prep, a list of all the players they are interested in is presented to Art who then removes anyone he deems a red flag or too much of a red flag.

But when a player like Pickens falls into your lap, you can continue building a team of choirboys or infuse some serious talent and hope for the best.

Hopefully Pickens teammates and Tomlin can get through to him before it’s too late.

Guys of similar talent are getting 15 sometimes even 20 targets a game.. He has been blocking very well in the run game and he seems to run his routes at full speed, a lot of WR'S in the NFL do not do that ..How much smoke are the Coaches blowing as the OC stated a few weeks back that we have to find a way to get him more involved and yet he is still not getting enough chances ...

If the Offense was effective and actually scoring the ball I would have more of a problem with his attitude , but as it is more looks could only help the Team IMO.. Maybe this is the source of his outburst ..

I disagree. Social media is social media. Real life is real life. Fans don't know the real life relationships between players and coaches.

During the jags game he seemed annoyed and would slowly walk back to the huddle.

Here's hoping he doesn't go the route of the former steelers wrs who went crazy.

They cleaned that culture up when they got rid of AB, Bell, Mitchell and a few others.

When Claypool acted up they shipped him out.

Pickens fell into their lap and they are rolling the dice. This act is still ongoing, we’ll see how it plays out. I imagine he will get more rope than Claypool because he is much more talented and more important to the teams success but if this continues into the offseason I can see them cutting ties then.

Was trying to see during the game when DJ finally got into the endzone I was looking for Pickens to be there celebrating the massive achievement. But at least on the views I saw, didn't see him there celebrating with him.

A few moments later they panned the sidelines on DJ and saw Pickens sulken on the bench with his little protective cap. I'm just hoping I missed him celebrating with him earlier. He's still your teammate I thought.

EDIT: Okay found part of it. I'm a little sad that right when DJ scored you see Pickens turn around and walk away. Very end of this clip.

Really hope it's not as bad as it looks.

How's it cleaned up when it's going on this very day, as we speak?
