Chuks benched, Broderick IN at RT tonight

kenny doesn’t even have to wash his shirt. Let’s see what happens when they keep him clean and his ribs and whatever else are all healed up. I bet we’ll like what we see.

 

Playing Jones at right tackle tonight probably saved the game. The line was excellent. He's just so much better than Okorafor. Sure, I want him on the left side sooner rather than later, but for this night, the move worked.

 

Having Jones out there brought a new dimension to the run game...... the coaches never pulled chuks on any runs, and no one could get by Jones in pass pro

 

Its unreal it took this long to figure out you gotta have Jones in there and boot chuks. Why not put Moore over, because isn't the blind side the most important. It worked but man our coaches really cause my cortisol to go up every week!!

 

I wonder if they tried to move Chuks before the trade deadline as a starter? Then after the trade deadline decided to move Jones into the starting lineup.

 

I think it gives them the best run-blocking group with Moore and Jones on the field. Chuks has not been good at all.

 

TBH I think they did a bit in the pre-season and in camp, but Moore was very uncomfortable with it. It's probably going to take an entire offseason for Moore to start working back on the right side. If Jones can go both ways better than Moore, I don't see why we shouldn't just keep him at RT for the remainder of the year and then work Moore back to the right when we have some time to work on it in the offseason.

 

Even when they said he lost the rep by getting bulled he still ended it on top of him! I was laughing when they were showing the replay talking about him getting bullied on the rush. Dude did push him back but he ended up underneath him on the ground!

 

Moore played bad when he was at RT. The fact the rookie got in and was pulling like a guard on a short week and still played well, should tell this team something.

 

Very good move, get best players on field. Should be competition each week
in practice at all OL positions until they figure it out. The problem is the CBA
and padded practices, can't really evaluate.

 

77 needs to stay on the field.. period...This kid has earned it, and he's only gonna get better.

 

I am not sure but it appeared Broderick had a pretty damn good game at RT

 

If playing a bit of RT early in your career ruins your chances of being a fgranchise LT, you were never a franchise LT in the first place.

I was fearful for Broderick. I really was. I don't think I have ever been this relieved and happy to be proven wrong than I was yesterday.

In this case, we agree. It is no coincidence that the Steelers had their best rushing performance of the year once they got Okorafor out of the lineup.
