Not liking this move. Broderick Jones was drafted to be the Franchise LT. Why have him there?! For that matter and, again, little experience playing there at College compared to Left Tackle.


God I hope this doesn't ruin him. Please oh please... don't let this mess him up!!

 

The problem isn't so much there Tomlin does nor want to. Problem is there is no one on the Roster to do so. Nate Herbig really doesn't count either for he is the backup guard and swing guard at that.


Spencer Anderson?! It is possible but if Tomlin wanted to make such a move... he would have done so already.

Max Starks started out at RT and became a good LT.

 

When you get an answer ask why they drafted a 6'8" 280lbs TE and only use him for 12 snaps as well.

If you can get a follow up ask why they traded for a veteran receiver and barely use him in multi receiver sets when DJ was out the first month and a half of the season.

 

He is inactive for tonight’s game. Okorafor is active.

Thing is, Max Starks had experience prior to coming into the NFL as a Right Tackle; as a Sophomore no less. Remember that Starks was a Senior before entering the NFL. Broderick came in as a Redshirt Sophomore; one who only has one official start at Right Tackle per the Georgia Bulldogs Official site here.



With due respect Heinz, the situations that Max Starks entered the league in versus Broderick Jones is as wide of the gap between Heaven and Earth itself. That isn't even applying their draft position either.

 

I have no problem with Jones playing some games at RT. I don’t see any real downside to it.

 

Get the best players on the field, don't care at this point.
Play the players that really want to play. If your not
Playing with urgency, we can't use you.

 

0 sacks tonight. Running game comes out of mothballs. Just saying maybe it was a good move.
