No, but we also don't have to scream over a screw up for a player that has screws up rarely (or in this instance really not at all). When Najee repeatedly misses running lanes, when Wallace repeatedly gets beat on nearly every play, or when the offense repeatedly goes 3 and out... its easier to gripe about it, because it happens literally all the time. These issues become thread worthy because they are consistent issues. A rookie's first real mistake when he's done extremely well to that point is not really gripe worthy or thread worthy. No one is showing favoritism. It's just realistic, normal, human behavior really.

I don’t have a problem. Just curious as to the mental gymnastics some of you would perform defending him. Thanks for playing

did not see tons defending him, just wanting to see the BEST TALENT on the field. he is the best pure cover corner we have. all the rest , you can basically start over.

Because it is very clear that it was Kazee's mistake!

More than one of us pointed it out as it happened in the game day thread. I guess I didn't feel like it needed to be expounded upon.

I'll talk about JPJ or question something. Why is it that Tomlin never started him-- but---now that he got burned Tomlin says yes JPJ IS STARTING :confused1:

Well we'll. Thanks for playing. A very mature comment. Porter has been our best CB. As to thanks for playing, if you don't like discussion then don't post. You congratulate yourself on stirring some responses to your post?? I thought you were better than that

Oh don't tell these guys that young players may have a learning curve
and they are going to have to take their lumps good or bad. No they want him
To be Mel Blount after 7 games.

    This.

Kazee wasn't just over aggressive on that play. There were multiple instances during that game he was; that INT for example. Take a damn knee and place the football to the 20 dammit.

Porter Jr. is the least of my concerns.

The rest of the secondary is. Hell, miscommunication was already a growing pain I'd expected even with Minkah going into the season. Without him?!... oof..

I do find it curious that the people that complain about Him not starting sooner(because the coaching is so dumb)are the ones mad about this thread.
This is why they didn't want to put him out there starting day one, and were trying to slowly work Him in a little bit more at a time, but no.....the coaches are stupid. LoL

If it means anything... Pro Football Reference has credited with Joey Porter Jr with One Touchdown allowed per this article.

This all said, as I said before and will again; my concerns regarding Joey Porter Jr is as much as concern as I have on the dirt on my shoes. Everyone else?! Oof..

    Missing Minkah hurts... bad...

    PFF thinks differently..

SportsInfoSolutions would be an excellent tiebreaker but sadly, few use that database..

Kazee bit on the play. Etienne was already running behind Porter. No reason for Kazee to jump up when he was literally the "safety valve" on that play in case Etienne went deep. The miscommunication talk is coach speak. Porter's not going to throw a veteran under the bus either. Mistakes happen, hopefully they learn from it and move on.

Yea that was a blown coverage but I’d be more worried about the offense not having 400 yards for 12 years.
