Since our beloved Steelers locked up the 3rd seed within their division, we already know who their opponents are for next year. Will have to wait until April until the dates and times but here's the teams that we will play next year:

Home: AFC north, Bills, Dolphins, Bears, Lions and Titans.
Away: AFC north, Patriots, Jets, Packers, Vikings (in London) and Raiders.

Road schedule could be daunting with the obvious games at the Patriots, Packers and yes, even the Raiders. If the Jets get their QB situation figured out, that could be tough and the Vikings game in London could favor us because we have fans everywhere, but the Vikings are getting really good and would be so much better if the QB was better.

I like our home schedule as far as the teams outside our division coming in.

I think it sucks that we have to go to NE and the Packers. I'd rather go to Chicago and play the Lions on Thanksgiving, but oh well! It also sucks that we have to play at the Raiders AGAIN! We never play well there!

I actually like playing the tougher games on the road, sometimes that can work to your advantage, and if it is going to be a loss, let it not be at home. I am also glad we are playing the Raiders and Titans while the Ravens have the Patriots and Broncos. I also plan to attend either the Jets or Patriots games, perhaps both.

Hope I'll be able to get time off work to fly to London for the Vikes game, would be awesome.

Should try and toss in a visit with our UK office, maybe I can get the company to pay for the trip :roflmao:

    Games that generally worry me: @NE, @GB, @OAK, @BAL, @CIN.

The rest of the games, really depends on way too many variables, which version of our team shows up, which opponent version shows up, but the five above are those that will be trouble no matter what (well, unless Brady gets Pollard'd again or similar stuff happens to Rodgers, etc)

Why would the raiders game be away? We played in Oakland this year.

It doesn't matter who we play or when we play them. This season - over all other seasons - should show us AND the Steelers that every game is important. Every game is winnable and every game is losable. This team can go 16-0 if it wants to, but they have to show it. They have to WANT it. There is no way that a defense that gives up fewer yards than any other defense year after year and an offense that has weapons like Big Ben, AB, Heath Miller, Wallace (maybe), Mendy, etc. should lose a single game.

The most disappointing thing about this season for me is the number of times this team played with no heart and no determination. I hope that these players have learned that from this season and come back next year determined to prove all of the nay-sayers wrong. Every game is a playoff game and every game is the potential difference maker. They need to play that way. We fans deserve it - and they did not give us that this year.

Here's to a new season in 2013, with a few new pieces and a WHOLE lot of attitude adjustments.

On paper, this isn't to difficult of a schedule. Aside from our obvious struggles against lousy teams this year, we should have no problem returning to the playoffs with an 11-4 record.

I am so PISSED at the NFL. I live in Southern California and the only "guaranteed" time I can see the Steelers live is if they play in San Diego.
The NFL switched our schedule this year because teams can't go across the country more than one time each season (it's an unfair disadvantage).
The NFL chose for the Steelers to play in Oakland instead of San Diego (crappy on so many levels). The Steelers have played in SD once in the last 7 years.
It looked like the Steelers were going to get 2nd in the division this year and secure a trip to SD, but they screwed it all up and now the Bengals come to town instead.
I hope they play the Raiders late in the year (after mid-November) so maybe I'll have a chance to make the trip up there...otherwise I'll miss out again.
Seems like the Steelers always play on the west coast early in the season when I can't go (I'm a HS coach). I was able to see the SF game last year, but you saw how that went. :noose:

Yeah, I know...boo hoo! Sometimes is sucks to love a team that rarely plays in your area.

The schedule is determined by formula. The formula for 2013 has the 3rd Place AFCN team (PGH) playing at the 3rd Place AFCW team (Oak), this was set up several years ago, so it just worked out the Pitt goes to Oak two years in a row.

I'm in San Diego county and have followed the Steelers since '72. I went to the last two games we played here. We won the first and lost the other. That's the game that some Charger "fan" stole my Terrible Towel. Sunday ticket, while expensive, is your friend!
    BTW, which H.S.?

At least the vikes game is an away game. We don't have to lose a home game in Pittsburgh

My wife who is not a big football fans just said "why are they playing in London". After I explained to her why she said "that is stupid, so Roger would rather give money to the London economy then help support his won country. What a duchebag".
