Tomlin postgame presser…

He said how they started and played in the 1st half had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Yea just keep doing nothing and take almost until halftime until you get first down. If Tomlin thinks this way and believes this then that’s a whole other. This offense can’t continue to get away with this every week playing like **** in the 1st half and expecting to win. You won’t rock fight your way to wins every single week like Tomlin thinks you can do. You have to be able to score points and move the ball. Like when is enough enough for Canada and this offense. 40 plus games with no 400 yard games as a team. I think I heard it’s the 5th longest streak now in NFL history. What the hell needs to happen for Tomlin to wake up and realize a coaching change needs made at coordinator.

 

Did he say “juncture” and “components”. I can’t listen to that clown anymore.

In fact this is 55 games now without a 400 yards on offense....

 

did it matter? JAX gave us 3 early TO's and we still sucked. 4 3 and outs to start.

Tomlin is officially a clown with nice words who just talks to hear himself speak. I could argue if he left the team they would not be any worse then they are now

 

Tomlin needs to go as well! He’s taking the joy out of watching the game. I’ve been a fan for over 40 years and have to admit I’m glad I’m on vacation this week and missed the game cuz I didn’t have to suffer thru the misery lol

He said "The early portion of the game didn't have anything to do with the outcome." He's said the same thing about entire seasons. It infuriates me to hear him say things like this b/c they absolutely have lost games b/c of how poorly they started, and how many times have they missed the playoffs by 1 game (or even 1/2 a game), or had to rely on someone else to win or lose to get in. Those early games absolutely matter, and so do the early parts of an individual game. There aren't any minutes of the full 60 minute game that don't matter.

 

I can only hope it was a poor attempt at sarcasm because I think Tomlin is far too smart to believe that.

 

Unfortunately, there was no indication of sarcasm when he said it. He was very matter of fact about it.

If Tomlin said that it shows how secure he feels his position is with the team. He has served well and it's time for a change

Everyone defends what Tomlin says, because apparently he doesn't mean what he says. Crazy thought, what if he does literally mean what he says?

Look at our point production coming off the bye. I've been making money for 15 years betting against this team in the 1st quarter after the bye. So have all my friends. Very rarely do I lose that bet. In fact, I usually parlay the under with the other team covering the points in the 1st quarter and I think I've only ever lost twice. Tomlin's teams are notorious for starting slow, especially after a bye. But apparently he's joking when he says the early part of a game doesn't affect the outcome. Or, he's serious when he says it and the proof is our slow starts because of that mentality

 

The steelers have many problem but the steelers have won their last 7 games after the bye week...Tomlin is 13-4 overall after the bye

 

It almost makes you puke to think about all the talent he's had the last decade + and done NOTHING with it.

 

Great, we won a lot of those games, that wasn't my point. We are notoriously slow starters on offence, especially after the bye. Our defence being able to keep us in games or our opponent also being terrible is irrelevant to the point I'm making.

 

Tomlin should petition the league to play every two weeks instead of weekly.

 

Bradshaw's always right: "I don't know what he does, I guess he's a good cheerleader".
