LoL. How does any Coach have anything to do with the player not being thrown to if He's open?? I'm not understanding what Your getting at.

I know its all Pickett's fault right? I just don't see how the Canada the Great schemes feature the tight end. That's what i'm getting at.

See....I'm actually trying not to place blame anywhere. I'm just wondering why when Washington is open, and I see KFP look right at Him, and then turn, and throw to someone else that's not open, or even once throw it out of bounds.....why that's happening. I know this is hard for some to understand, but in no level of football that I have seen... does any Coach... of any kind say.....Hey Qb....if a guy is open on a route....do not throw it to him.....so this makes Me believe He doesn't trust Him....nowhere am I placing blame....if I was....I guess it would be at Washington.....because what is happening in practice that KFP rather throw it away, or to someone covered than to throw it to Him. Being I don't know....it's why I was asking.

Every up coming week I am thinking is this the week Darnell Washington breaks out? in my mind I see a break out game for Washington, like a TD catch, and a couple key first down catches, but it hasn't happened yet,

The TE position should be targeted a minimum o!f 10 times a game. Look what KC
And SF do with their TE,'s.

I honestly don’t think it’s a trust thing. There is no guarantee that KFP is looking directly at him and not throwing it to him. I mean it’s been known that KFP hasnt seen ALOT of open receivers and doesn’t throw it to them, so I don’t feel it’s a Washington thing. I think it’s more of a Kenny is too afraid to have the ball picked because he thinks defenses are closer to the open guy than what they actually are.

kinda like how he thinks pressure is closer then they are to him when he is in the pocket.

if anything I think it’s more of him not trusting himself more then anything and checks down or throws out of bounds.

Canada doesn't have much of an imagination for scheming the middle of the field, never mind Kenny having time going through his progressions to his 3rd or 4th option, usually the TE in this offence

i see kenny looking at washington early in the route , usually just leaving the line of scrimmage and passing on him because he's not far enough into his route yet. his eyes then go to his next progression and so on. kenny doesn't look at his route options very long before moving on. part of his problem if you ask me. he doesn't wait long enough for the route to develop because he feels rushed by pressure and many times he is not. mostly perception. that is not the OC's fault. that is kennys fault. many times he has time but feels he has to move or move on to another read way too quickly. he has had clean pockets that he leaves. hopefully this improves. pocket presence is his problem right now.

Thor's thread KP analysis week 7 is pretty cool.
He talks about that throw to Heyward in the middle.
    So it is there.

I completely understand that the Steelers are terrible from the top to the bottom.
Ownership, front office (if it's even really in the front ??),coaching staff ,coordinators, strength and conditioning, trainers, water crew, ball crew, field crew, weight benches, hell even the duct tape doesn't stick where it's supposed to stick.
Heck, the only highlight being a Steeler fan in the past few decades is recently being able to discuss what we're eating and drinking on gameday!!!
Also, this nepotism thing the organization has going on currently is the biggest reason it was the wrong TE.

Just a thought on what could have happened, though I don’t recall the specific plays: could KP have been trying to look off defenders to take them out of a spot or throwing lane that he needed for another receiver?

Could be. This is why I brought it up. My only problem with that is .....if Washington is already open....why not go there???...., but You could be correct, and that's what He's thinking/doing.

It is mystifying, and joking aside it makes a struggling O that much worse. Trust issue? We never know what's said in preparation, but if YOU can see it, why can't the coaches, lol. We often see it's time to let KP loose, but if he won't take those steps when they are right before him, then he needs someone to kick his butt in that direction.

I'm sure they do see it. The reporter do....it's why it has been asked of KFP, but what We have to hope, and I'm sure the coaches are telling Him is....now don't just force the ball there if He isn't open.....because that would be even worse.

another way to move those defenders is to actually throw to him a couple of times. then they know they have to at least keep a defender fairly close to him incase. at this rate why bother covering if the throw never comes. maybe it's all a ploy for this game lull them to sleep with never throwing his way and then boom, TD. this is what i'm banking on and why i think he catches one today.
