My girl hates Sundays and my mood after a loss. And hates how many times I watch any highlight show re-watching the glory moments after a win. She really hates how much I read about them during and especially before the season.

She wants to blow this message board up! Hahahaha...

She loves to tell me we aren't looking good after the first broken play of any game. But she's a NY Rangers fan so she's known more disappointment than joy.

She hasn't been mad in weeks, because I stopped believing in this team once we lost to the Browns and especially the Chargers. She didn't even know they were playing today...

The older I get, the less I really care. 15 years ago, I would have been pissed for days after a game like todays. Now, it's just, "whatever man" I'm just glad I'm not a Charger fan!!!!!!!! For that, my wife is grateful.

This. As much as both my wife and I bleed black and gold, when it's over we don't let it ruin our day. Of course we're hugely disappointed, but like you said, there's not much we can do about it so why fester.

Feel bad when they lose but this year I got so use to it. Being retired, I know I will go play golf tomorrow and enjoy the game and the hell with those millionaire SOB's. I just hope the Rooney's get their act together by next season and let some heads roll or maybe due to a aging process the Rooney's should have someone else in the family take the reins. Younger thinking.

I agree. As a younger man, and when I was in school with Browns fans and Cowboy fans, I let the losses affect me more. Nowadays, I have a lot more to worry about. I let the coaching staff and the front office do their jobs. I get on the board and watch everyone else vent! Usually, it's already been said! Unfortunately, this season is a little sadder because we all feel there is going to be a big goodbye party for a lot of good Steelers. We just need to feel be thankful that we aren't Browns, or Lions, or Cardinals fans. These are just bumps in the road; chapters in the Steeler saga.

We are both big fans, but I stay hot longer. And she knows when to leave me alone. The ride home after last week was as bad as it has been for a while, probably because of the finality of it for this year.

As I get older the losses affect me less, I still get mad
but what am I going to do? My current GF is not much of a football fan,
and I find that depressing also, because I love the game of football, hell all
sports. Maybe its time for a new GF or one that appreciates sports the way I do?

No problem, our lives will go on as usual. Season over wait for next year.

My old man listens to me rant and rave and complain, with a lot of "mmhmmms" and "uhhuhs". That said, we're a bit more tempered this year because his team is actually doing well for the first time in as long as I can remember and I've actually enjoyed watching them turn things around with a super-dynamic QB and a solid OC. I guess if I didn't have the potential to see them go into the playoffs as an underdog, I'd be worse to be around, but right now I'm trying to hang in there.

That has not, however, quelled my frustration and ire over this season. Today is the first time I've been able to even look at the board since last week, and I'm honestly not sure I can watch today's game. Debating on going to watch with the local city fan club just to have some misery loves company, but I just don't think I can bring myself to care enough, as sad as that sounds.

Nothing of interest in sports for me until the end of February when racing returns. What am I going to do on Sundays for two months? *sigh*
