He would change His views quickly in the Black, and Gold. I would say just having Him on the team automatically gives us a bigger chance. Then our D could truly be scary.

You would think, but He had 3 terrible tackles just in the last game. He will get better.

I would want him for the Steelers, too, but he is only under contract for 2023 and 2024. They would have control of any player taken in the first round next year a lot longer. He would certainly help, but I don't think he makes them a Super Bowl contender this year. That isn't happening until the offense gets a lot better.

so the simulator thinks Wallace, MR and a 4th rounder would get Surtain here, hmm. I think someone has been blowing whacky smoke into his computer lmao.

Even if Omar could swing a deal, and the cost would be a lot higher, you have the guy for 2 years if you pick up his option. That's ok, it could be done and you need to sign him long term. Again all that could be accomplished, but you are not getting him for a 4th and 2 scrap heaps.

I would imagine either a sign and trade or a situation where we have contract negotiations built into the trade consideration would be something we would do. I couldn't imagine not having that all worked out prior to a trade. If we could swing the money, I think it would be great. It all depends on how we are budgeting for the future and if it all makes sense. Turning a first round pick into a sure fire hit on a position of need would be awesome. I don't think a single soul feels bad about how the Fitzpatrick trade worked out for us.

With that all being said, I would still be surprised to see us do it. It would certainly make us a lot better, but I'm not 100% sold that the SB contention window opens immediately if that trade happens.

I mean anything is possible, but getting Minkah who had more time left, vs a situation like this is different. And while you could put language in the trade nothing says He has to sign here long term. This situation just makes me wonder even more what happened with Cam Sutton. His deal really was not that huge, as much as we preach keeping own it certainly did not look like there was much effort to keep him. May be wrong, but the money they are giving Peterson and Levi would have looked better on him, just saying.

I meant having the contract negotiations all but figured out before securing the deal.... You're not pulling the trigger on that trade unless you're 100% getting that guy signed long term.

As for Sutton, we will never know. Maybe he didn't want to be here for one reason or another. Maybe he truly did want to go be by family in Detroit. Probably will never know. Sucks we don't have him, but we will swing again in FA next year.

For sure, I did not mean to leave out that he had a choice as well, and sometimes it is not always money, sometimes, lol.

Does he not like the cold weather now?

I think Dolphins may continue to fall apart now.

I note that Wallace, JPJ and Pierre are all questionable for Sunday. At least one of those is bad news

Every team has a LW. Can't have all pros at every position. Experienced and productive vets travel well in the NFL.

Darius Rush had a good debut against the Titans. For some reasons our DC felt it was better to sit him this game
