He was 11-0 to start his NFL career but since then, especially last year, just awful!

Pittsburgh fleeced two teams for two great players; Minkah from Miami and Peezy Jr via Chicago! Kahn Artist strikes again!! :rawk:

Absolutely great trades, but the khan artist had nothing to do with Minkah

Not to mention they did give up a first, fifth, and sixth round pick to acquire him (plus a fourth and seventh), so I wouldn't say they "fleeced" Miami.

Agree it was a good trade, though.

I did say Kahn artist but was more so referring to JPJ. Minkah was a collaborative effort by both FO and Coaching Staff it appears.

A potential HOF Player for three okay ones?! I would say that does count as a fleece in my eyes.

It's two different situations with two different perspectives. If I can get you to pay me more than what I value for something that indeed shows to be worth much less to you than what you paid, you got fleeced. If you pay me fair value for something equal to its price in value to you, but I blow the money you paid on cheap booze and easy women, I didn't get fleeced. I just didn't make wise choices with my capital.

The first round pick that the dolphins had in this trade did not look good too....

That's what gets me about this team. They say they want more man, then play zone.

They have guys that can cover, but they sit them for guys that supposedly tackle better. The guys playing aren't tackling for crap either plus they can't cover!

How many times we see guys staying in their zone while their man exits and is uncovered?

Guess this trade will have to be revisited years later down the line then.

One can argue Miami made a mistake in trading him over trying to work things out. I don't know how deep the fractures were in the relationship at the time. To this point they certainly didn't seem to come out with an equal first round talent in Austin Jackson the following year. But part of trading a player for picks is accepting the tradeoff that to a certain degree you know what you have in the player; a draft pick has yet to transition to the NFL.

As far as value, Miami recouped a first round pick and moved a fifth for a fourth (while giving up a sixth for a seventh) for him, which felt about right. Looking back, Miami would lose seven spots after selecting Minkah 11th overall, but no one knew at the time that the Steelers first round pick would end up the 18th overall, especially given that it was their first year sans Antonio Brown and Roethlisberger would go down to a season-ending injury when the trade was made.

    Fair points.

However, as I am certain that you know, HOF Players don't come around that often. Never mind that, very seldom do such players become readily available. Way too early to tell about him but Patrick Surtain II is on the right path.

I personally wouldn't mind trading for him. That said, who knows what the cost will be to acquire him.

Chase is a prime example of looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane dude .. The crazy part is most of it is not his skill set ,,It's more of an entitlement type thing .. He thinks he great, he thinks he is the best , he thinks he should be the #1 target , but yet he will not put in the work and he does not do any of the things that the greats used to do or do to to hone his craft ..

The only hope he may have is he is not that old and not that beat up ,he still has time to change his mind and his heart, but if he don't it will be a huge waste of talent.. I for one hope he realizes his God given talent and learns to respect that talent and at that point he may become something similar to the way he views himself..

He really does have the Tools to be great ,the problem is he is a Tool..His staff , his Family , his Agent , his friends , his Team Mates and anyone who can bend his ear needs to tell him that ...

As a former Coach and a true Lover of the game I hate to see special talent wasted because of ego or deva type crap..

Hell, I'd be willing to throw in a PS2 of their own in return for that trade.
