The entire fourth quarter took five minutes?

An intelligent person would relate this to conservative play calling early and then aggressive playcalling in the 4th quarter when it was do or die. Having a blast watching the Pickett doubters move the goal posts all over the place. Just bizarre that some can't see that he's gonna be here for a long time.

Terry Bradsway sees it yet some Bubba's on the internet understand the QB position for the Steelers better than Terry.........lmao!!

OH bite me! You take everything so effing litterally! For a writer, you have zero sense of sarcasm, hyperbole, or generalization.

They even made special mention, during the game, how his numbers are so much better, typically, in the last 5 minutes.

But, hey, he threw a nice pass with 6 minutes left, so you have to pull out your "Well, actually..." bull***.

My apologies. He did slightly expanded the scope of good play outside of his usual last drive or two. Great, the offense was only terrible for 75% of the game. I guess we should be impressed with 33 offensive snaps in the first 75% of the game?

You really put me in my place. I'll correct my my original post below.

"I just wish he was good for more than one quarter per game. Congrats on that one quarter though."

    Better?

Oh god, how many times are you gonna go to the well on the Terry Bradshaw stuff? Or is it Bradsway? ;)

Would you like some help finding your sense of humor? You seem to have misplaced it.

That said, Pickett threw one incomplete pass that counted in the entire second half. (He had at least one wiped out by a pass interference call.) That was a deep shot to Heyward that the linebacker managed to get deep enough to tip away. Other than the drive that ran out the final five-minutes plus of the game, it was the only second-half possession that didn't end in a touchdown.

Pickett also had a long pass to Johnson wiped out by an illegal block on Pickens and another ball down the field that Pickens short-armed to short-circuit drives in the first half. He was a lot better yesterday than you are giving him credit for being.

I just thought it would be more fun to make a snarky, sarcastic comment rather than get into all that. I'm sorry the tone of it sailed over your head.

    1. What does being a writer have to do with deciphering a stranger's sense of 'sarcasm, hyperbole, or generalization'?

    2. Seems it didn't occur to you that maybe he was mixing a little sarcasm into his reply.

    3. If you think you're talking to someone who takes everything 'so effing litterally'[sp]', you may want to reconsider kicking off a reply with, 'OH bite me!'

Some of his struggles are related to the rest of the offense.

Some of the offense is related to Pickett’s struggles.

Of course he's struggled. He's played 1 freaking year with a sh*t OC and a sh*t line, two of his favorite weapons OUT most of the year, etc. But hey, good thing a lot of casual fans aren't calling the shots or we'd have a different QB ever 5 games. Bizarre stuff at best.

Because people have seen a couple guys come in and do it right away...Purdy...they think that is the norm. They don't take other factors (the team around you) into account. You don't have to be great day one to end up being a great NFL QB. I still don't know if he will be great, but it's still WAY TOO SOON, to deliver a final verdict.

Purdy looked like trash without his embarassment of riches against Cleveland. No Deebo tonight, interested to see how he does. I think Purdy's gonna break some 9er hearts over the next 2 years that think he's gonna be great.

You may be correct...but the point I was making is...his early success has skewered people's view of Kenny.

The NFL Network showed today that of Kenny's 11 career wins 6 of them have been fourth quarter come from behind victories.

I understood your point and agree. My comment was more of an add-on and assesment of Purdy as of late.

I never said he should be benched or replaced or that he’s a bust. Simply that he hasn’t played well.

That's a pretty cool accomplishment and he is in good company. I think Kenny has it. We will see but he is flashing some really good signs of improving and is so clutch it's ridiculous. Kenny Fing Clutch:hehehe: KFC and I don't mean chicken :);)

There are plenty of former NFL players, coaches, or people close to the league who make comments or have beliefs about who will have a successful career in the league and who won’t. Look at the success rate of the draft. Plenty of experts part of that process and plenty of failed selections that result.

I still think it is too early to say Pickett will be here for a long time. In fairness, I also think it is too early to say he won’t. I think the jury is still out.

And just like that, the oft drooled upon Brock Purdy looks like a 7th round pick 2 weeks in a row. Pickett is so clearly the guy. Now build around him on the O and D lines, please.

    17-25 230 yards QBR 97

4th quarter, as was previously posted he was 11-12 152 yards no picks

    Good enough for me

Get Pickett some more weapons at WR this offseason.
Sign one as FA and draft one in top 2 rounds.

I’ve been a doubter based on watching him operate on All-22 film. I’m still not sold, but the arrow is pointing up compared to where it was a few weeks ago. There’s a lot more ball to be played before we know what we’ve got with KP.

Wait ....wait ...wait....You said because Terry Bradshaw said KFP is good ....it is so....well I hate to tell You, but T. Bradshaw also said Brock Purdy was very good, and would have Him as a starting Qb on any team He ran, and He was also one of the most accurate, and smart Qbs He has ever seen.....So.....Does Terry Bradshaws comments only count when You agree with Him?????
I do believe You said He knew more about the Position than anyone on here.
