Muth not playing

Neither Mark Bruener nor Heath Miller were good blockers in the beginning both developed nicely

I doubt Gronk was a good blocker to begin with I don’t even know if he was a good blocker at any time

Goldbunny is one of those. Calls Muth a clown because he's injured. Oh, and his grilling thing he does with Gentry.

 

Groningen became one hell of a blocker after his third season in the league. For that matter, he was the undisputed number one overall Tight End in the game. Gronk was the complete package; like few in NFL History.


Sadly, injuries greatly robbed Gronk though he did retire out on top so it didn't end all bad for him.

 

While both Bruener and Heath improved tremendously over time, they were both good blockers from the get go. Obviously their first year or two they were improving, but they were never “not good blockers” if that makes sense. I think that was one of Muth’s noted weaknesses when he was drafted, not to say he can’t improve. His blocking this season has been abysmal and even comical at times with some of the whiffs he’s had.

 

Such a good nickname.

 

I think PFF has him ranked as the worst blocking TE in football or at least that is what I heard on the radio.

Some believe injuries makes players clowns. Also, Grillin' and Chillin' should be a felony according to many of the Get-off-my-lawn crowd.

If more people played these sports and saw firsthand how injuries impact players personally and professionally, and maybe experienced some of these injuries themselves, they would have a different outlook on things. Players are still people. No player even wants to get hurt. It's bush league for people to act like they are being betrayed by a player that gets injured. It's just ridiculous.

 

Yea I might not be as impressed with Muths overall game as others and he does seem injury prone but to call him a clown for that? Don’t get it.

 

With Muth gone for a minimum of 4 weeks and the 2 weeks he has already missed, I still don't understand why they are not brining back Gentry from the Bengals practice squad?

I know teams can protect 2 players on their practice squad every week, but is there anything else keeping Gentry away from the Steelers?
