It’s hilarious that people take these canned and cliche explanations that every player and coach gives to one degree or another and runs with it. These coaches and players actually take classes on what to say to the media for every question. Interview questions and answers are meaningless in most cases. They will never share what’s really going on nor should they.

Bottom line is that he’s a special teams player. Like it or not he’s a good special teams player. Maybe not at returning, but his kickoff and punt coverages are really good. This ain’t high school. At the pro level some of the guys have to be on the team to play special teams.

 

Even Benny wasn’t as bad as Silverboob unless this is Benny now that she has moved up to high school

So, no more "talking about the team." I'm not sure I grasp your suggestion; since the team is bad, but we aren't allowed to talk about the state of the team, then we aren't allowed to talk about the reason's the team's bad, so...we....should.....just......talk about why the team is great, even though that would be a lie? So if you're not proposing we do that then....we should just stop posting all together then? Or, should we only post about off-topics such as the kind of candy you like?

So, all team subjects should also end on talk radio as well?

Ummm, I'm not sure what "Gunner" you're talking about here, but his returns are not "really good." As a matter of fact, they suck, and not just a little bit, but suck BAD. The FIRST priority in kick/punt returns is holding onto the ball. He's failing at that job regularly; he gets hit and the ball comes flying out. The 2nd is to catch the ball for upmost field position: how is making the catch where the ball was heading out-of-bounds (which would put the ball on the 40) and "tippy toed" it to catch it at the 10, or whatever, doing a "really good" job there? And the 3rd part of doing your job at kick returns would be to advance the ball with good returns after securing the ball, but he's so bad at the 1st 2 jobs that #3 doesn't even come into play.

And yet, we have to hear the coaches brag about how awesome Gunner is at his role on the team? Because he's a "good blocker" for jet sweeps, plays that currently actually suck for this team.

 

I'm sure Canada would love to design his offense around McFarland... that dude can't even stay on the field though...

If they only have Gunner in as a blocker, other teams know it will be a run. Has he even caught a ball this year on offense?

He's caught 1 pass for zero yards so far this year, so he's really doing great. But his blocking on those jet sweeps has been phenomenal. His blocking has been so awesome on those plays that we lead the league in yardage on jet sweeps per attempt, errr wait a minute, no we don't.

 

First of all, shut up. No one is going to go hunting for examples of your bull**** because its littered all over the board. If you doubt what's being said YOU go find an example countering it.

But there's no need, you already provided proof of your wont to take one thing and turn it into a tirade about something else:
