I was at the game against Ravens. Amazing game and the excitement was real. We have alot of issues from a team and organizational perspective but we also have some real clowns for fans. I get people are unhappy but I heard so much bitching about everyone it was ridiculous. Kenny sucks. Fire Canada and Tomlin. The refs suck.

It's fine to vent but wow it sure takes away from the game when you have people chanting and screaming fire Canada every play. It would have been much more pleasurable if people stopped screaming fire Canada until at least December. Little do they know their wasting time and energy on something which wont happen.

Otherwise a pleasurable experience. A win made the $300 US seat more palatable. GO STEELERS

Fans are tired of watching this garbage offense. You were there I’m sure you can attest to the Ravens imploding more than anything the Steelers did. Kenny’s last drive was good hopefully something to build on.

I get the passion and believe me I spent many years swearing, cursing at the TV. Worse is I would also be upset until midweek after a loss. No more for this guy. Life is too important to worry about what's not in my control. :)

Nah just a fan who was at a game that paid big bucks to be there and listening to dumb people just got the better of me.

I can't blame the fans on that.....It was an embarrassment that the Steelers decided to keep Matt Canada for a 3rd season despite 2 pathetic seasons on offense and it was obvious he is not qualified for this job and with the fact that the results are the same in its 3rd season, it is understandable that fans are more and more angry

Fans would have acted worse if this situation happened in Philadelphia

I’ve been going to away games for years now. This is not just a Steelers fan base problem. When we were in Vegas three weeks ago there was a female Raiders fan behind us that would not shut her pie hole the entire game about how every thing and every one sucked. Some people just aren’t happy unless they are miserable. I just learn to not let it get to me cause I know misery loves company.

The people behind me are different every game but I swear one of the requirements of buying the tickets is you must know nothing about football

I get it, complaints should just be here for us to enjoy, knowing Art is reading every word. That said if I paid 300 bucks for a ticket, I expect to be able to express my 1st amendment rights against Canada knowing it will be useless.

I feel your pain though. My son is taking his future wife (a Pats fan) to that game. They have to drive from Lancaster. The trip over might be tolerably pleasant, I can't imagine the drive back. Keep her happy son. Lmao

While it does come across as slightly classless, of all the drunken stupidity that happens at games, the "fire Canada" chant would be low on my list of issues.
I guess I'll find out in December when I'm in the stadium.

Reminds me of Pittsburgh Dad. Will even b!tch about the wine at an orgy. Ha... I see both sides argument here.
One day technology will be able to measure emotion in real time because I felt every kind of state of being last week.

In the case of Canada, the fans have it right. He should have been fired in the off-season. You are correct, though, in that they are wasting their breath. The Steelers won’t fire him mid-season.

Anyway, glad we won the game and you had an overall good experience.

I’m not sure the first amendment was designed so idiots can say the same thing over and over and over like some of the left fielders here

This is not directed at you I’m just using your thought

No doubt. It was a faux on the Canada relation. I get a chuckle when people tell and scream their 'rights", when they are not protected at all, at least not in the way they think. I agree with the point of the post. A certain element of complaint can be expected, but your seat neighbors paid to see the game and have every right to enjoy the experience without having to listen to the constant annoying tirades of imbeciles.

The game will be about 4 weeks out from surgery so I should be alright, if not just sore after standing. A friend who just had it done said they get you up and moving pretty quick after surgery. The real test will be deer season a week later and all that walking.

    That's great.
Mine wouldn't be soon, if at all. The opinion from the Dr is he wouldn't do any further repair before recommending a full replacement. If an injection keeps me on my feet then we'll see how long it lasts. My knee is down the list of medical repairs I'm waiting on.

Not trying to get of topic, the topic of this thread is fans, I'm a fan:shrug:

I can't imagine walking in the woods (the way I walk in the woods) only 5 weeks after a knee replacement.
Then I remember I walk in the woods this way because I only have one knee.

I hope you don't have too many steps to deal with at the stadium. Steps are the enemy when you have knee issues.

What an embarrassment for the team. Only 2 people who accept this garbage offense is Tomlin and Art II. I don't see the chants stopping anytime soon and have moved to the Pens game as well as college game day with Fire Canada signs. I'm sure their is a handful of delusional fans who have no issue with Canada. Don't be surprised if he is retained if they finish 9-8. That would be 3 winning seasons under Jet Sweep and as we have seen this is the new Standard.
