Yes, I knew Mike well. He's probably in his 70's now.
I don't know how his health is now days, but He is definitely an offensive mind.
He had Trent Green (basically a Heinike skill level) and made him relevant.
Add in his work with my WVU comrade, Marc Bulger and store clerk Kurt Warner.
I learned so much from his offenses. He would be a huge asset to Kenny Pickett, he's a perfect fit in Martz's style.

I get to hear Martz on a radio show in St. Louis from 8 am - 9 am on Saturday mornings. He sounds as smart as ever discussing football, talking about current QBs, and recalling his years with the Rams.

    Good to hear.
He is the architect of the "Greatest Show on Turf"
Vermeil always had high praise of him.
I felt bad for him in DC, Snyder was a Zero and that was a terrible transition from the ownership group to Snyder.

Agreed. Sure didn’t hurt the Ravens who went on to win a SB after making an in season switch.

And Steelers offense is already at dog **** level, so what are they really risking.

Did you watch Tampa Bay's offense last season? It wasn't good probably why Leftwich doesn't have a job.

Munchak wasn't chased off, he moved to Colorado to be near family, he has only coached with the Broncos since leaving the Steelers. Stop making :poopy: up.

They had promised Butler the DC job, under LeBeau some of the rookies weren't getting on the field quick enough, Heyward didn't start until his third season IIRC.

I sometimes feel sorry for those who are the "easy marks," who just buy everything the way the media - and the higher ups who control the media - spin things. Yea, he left purely for "family reasons." SMH.

Well they may not have had a good percentage of the teams fans blaming the coaching on the Qb Brady like they did here in Canada's first year. They won't admit it now, but You can look it up in the board search.....Many of these Canada sucks, and fire Canada guys said it was Ben holding Canada's offense back, and wait till they got a better Qb, or different Qb, or a more mobile Qb.
So Maybe Tampa didn't believe it was Brady.

Didn’t they do it twice though?

2012 was the SB year, but I thought they did it with Jackson as QB as well when they made the switch?

Folks, we have more problems than just the passing game, Our running game sucks also
even though we have two good backs. Why do you think SF passing game is good and players run 5 yds open?Because defenses have to protect against the run. OL and DL and cb play have been biggest dsiappointment to date. We need mean OL that want to rip peoples heads off and
    get to next level LB's.
