I think he's thrown a couple nice deep balls this year. The problem is him staying in the pocket. He escapes to early and often runs into a sack. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do after the bye week. The offensive line has not helped him much to this point. Also looking forward to what Jones can bring at left tackle.

No doubt that was great coverage by JPJ to make that interception possible. Hopefully that will be the catalyst to put old man Peterson on the bench where he belongs

I am with Bradshaw. I believe KP can be the guy. Has he been great? No. However, who would be great with Matt Canada as their OC? Get rid of MC and some of his coaches and bring in a real OC and let him bring a staff with him and improve the O-line and KP will be just fine. I don't think he has any confidence in MC or the O-line.

I think most of us are on the same page with Kenny. Most of us want him to succeed but also understand he has a ways to go. Also, you're correct in that disliking a post without providing a reply is somewhat ambiguous. At least in my opinion.

    Pickett = Mr. 4th Quarter

If the Steelers offense could be consistent all damn game... this team could make a legit run.

The OL being bad is a real factor as is the play calling, but for the love of God he DOES have some time many plays and still can't make quick decisions on where to go with the ball when people are open. A lot of it is on his play.

Let's dial down on the crazy meter. A "legit run" at what? Being average? OK, I'll buy that. At being a legit contender? :roflmao:

Found this interesting. Bryce Young has been so bad, that there are already some fearing that he could be a bust. Some just want him benched for Dalton before he throws the entire season away. So, I looked at his numbers.

He missed a game due to injury. Played 4 games.

    None of this is opinion.

    Bryce Young(22 year old rookie) - 4 games/CMP% 63.9/750 YDS/5 TD's/4 INT/77 QBR
    Ken Pickett (25 year old 2nd yr) - 5 games/CMP% 59.7/1027 YDS/5 TD's/4 INT/78 QBR

One is feared a bust. The other, a savior.

If you look at Pickett’s pre-season performance coupled with his regular season 4th quarter performance, he’s destined for the HOF. Regular season quarters 1-3, not so much, lol.

Please point out the people calling Pickett a savior. I'm pretty sure most logical members of this message board are well aware of his shortcomings. It's just that some have already labeled Pickett a bust while others are reluctant to do so this early in his career.

The big subject today on 93.7 The Fan today is that Mark Kaboly is reporting that Byron Leftwich contacted the Steelers very recently about a getting a job on the staff but the Steelers ignored his call. The consensus on the talk show was that Canada should be let go, bring in Leftwich to be the QB coach, move Sullivan up to offensive assistant coach and make Glenn Thomas the interim OC until the end of the season.

Kenny is going to be a good QB.

Did anyone notice on one critical 3rd down, Canada's design was 3 curl patterns on the right side, while Pickens ran the left sideline?
Speaking of sideline, Canada seems to have an issue with "Crossing routes."
And speaking of Canada, he has no sense for the pulse of the game.
You've got to stick with the run to get it going.

It's very difficult to form an opinion on Kenny when Canada's offense sets him up for failure.
If anything, it is a testament to how good he is.

Pickens is something to watch, that guy is darn near impossible to cover.
I can't even imagine why the Ravens coaching thought it was a good idea to single him? Authur was helpless and the fat kid didn't stand a chance.

I don't think that's necessary, and you do realize that there are 1000 other social media sites, radio commentators, podcasts, and journalists out side of this tiny message board right?

I also find it interesting that you chose to not comment about the actual content of my post, but my slightly hyperbolic statement at the end.

I wouldn't presume to tell you how you should feel, but if those stats don't alarm you, I don't know what would. Especially considering the age/experience difference. Not to mention that the Steelers are a vastly superior organization. And Young doesn't have a George Pickens to bail him out of everything, as he just consistently just chucks it up to the sideline every other play.

The Op of this thread. Most of us like KFP, and want Him to be successful, but still see the warts, and what He must get better at, and some on here think everything that's wrong is everyone else's fault, but KFP.

I didn't comment on your actual content because it didn't come as a surprise to me. Just so we're perfectly clear here, I question Picketts ability to get better just as much as you or anyone else here. I very much want him to succeed but I have been pretty hard on him as of late, just as many others here on this message board have been.
As far as what other outlets have said about Pickett, I have yet to hear any of them refer to him as a savior. What I read and hear, from most media outlets, is that he has plenty of issues himself so not all the blame for the ineptitude of this offense falls on Canada.

He needs to improve, as well as the OC/head coaching.
