Matt Canada is Holding Back the Steelers Offense- by Sharp Football Analysis

Canada might have been the QB coach, but Big Ben was already an established, future HOF QB at that point. The damage that he could do to a good veteran QB is limited. The damage that he can do to a rookie QB is unlimited. BB kept the Steelers afloat the last few years. You could see when BB took over the offense. He smashed the defense. I do think that people figured Canada out and it became a wall too high to climb......you saw it last year too. A couple of good games and by game 4, Canada has sent his playbook to anyone that wants a copy.

Here are some other Steelers stats: Under Tomlin (2007 to present), the Steelers have been to the playoffs 10 times. 7 of those were as the wild card.....Our last 3 trips to the playoffs (17, 20, 21) are all 1 and dones. If success is measured by winning seasons, we are kicking ass. If it is measured by the Lombardi Trophy, we are heading in the wrong direction.

 

Heard the same rumors last year. I’m not gonna hold my breath.

Down 35-7 to the Chiefs in the third quarter.
Down 28-0 to the Browns IN THE FIRST QUARTER! AT HOME!!!!! TO BAKER MAYFIELD!!!!!!!!!!
Down 28-7 to the Jags in the second quarter. AT HOME!!!!! TO BLAKE BORTLES!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah...old Xs and Os Tomlin had his teams ready to go, didn't he?

 

And we had a supposed HOF QB?

 

And he didn’t win a playoff game since 2016

But hey he went a lot of years without a loosing season

It doesn't get anymore black & white than that. Pure dog sh-t is what Canada produces (with help from Tomlin looking over his shoulder).

 

This can only be blamed on anyone besides the Qb if there are no other routes being run, but as the 22 will show there a targets open deeper, and the Qb is checking down. That is not on coaching.
Again I don't like the scheme, but I don't place the blame just in coaches when others are not executing. I look at the 22, and nobody is open....then it's all on coaches.

 

And Bradshaw was a HoF Qb, and only won 4, Steve Young was a HoF Qb, and only won 1, A. Rodgers was a HOF Qb, and only won 1, B. Favre was a HOF Qb, and only won 1, P. Manning was a HOF Qb, and only won 2, and so on. All a HOF Qb will do most of the times is make Your team not suck....not guarantee Playoff wins, and SBs, or is Ben the only HOF Qb expected to do that???? Use Your mind not Your feelings. Out of all off those HOF Qbs, and More I didn't even name....Why is it some of You expect Him(Ben)to do more than the rest of the HOF Qbs????

How can you positively say the QB has the ability to pass it deep(er)? The playcall is to pass short and the QB can't deviate. Whether that's true or not who is to say, but there is PLENTY of proof over the past three years that no matter the quarterback his job is to dump it off or pass short.

 

You're right. Ben sucked too. Should have waited for Maddox to heal. When you infer such stupidity your credibility takes quite a hit.
