To me, nothing else matters without a line that can protect the QB and give time to execute a play, be a ground game threat to keep the defense honest and keep our D off the field. I think we keep putting cart before the horse on offense as evidenced by the way we're playing right now. Then we do us a #1 pick for someone who is on the sideline. Maybe if we spent the past few years drafting better this would be a different situation? I believe KP is more a game manager type, so he needs help blocking up front and a ground game to not feel he has to do it all himself. JMO>

I'm fine with change. All Im saying is..without a real Qb it's very hard. Andy Reid has shown that....Shanahan has shown that, McVay has shown that, Belichick has show that, S. Payton has show that, Brian Daboll has shows that, and so on.
Who on here that actually has watched KFP play, and will actually step forward, and say even if We change everything....KFP will be great???? Anyone????

So it’s Kenny Fing Pickett? Is that supposed to mean he’s good or something. I don’t get any of these nicknames for him.

    I call him tiny hands

I just want to change the OC and maybe even QB coach to bring in someone to determine if this kid has it or not. We have 13 more game rights after this week and we better start to see if he can be righted before we throw the #1 draft pick out the door. My "spidey sense" is leaning towards he doesn't have it but **** Steve Young looked like **** in Tampa before he got to the 9ers and yeah I know that is a long time ago. I just want to see him with a real OC but the "NFL ready status" is what is bugging me. I get it you think he is playing terrible but at the same time don't you think Canada after 2 1/2 seasons is as well so if this can be the impetus to get rid of him I'm all for it!!

Yes, nothing is going in the right direction consistently for a while. However, I look at it as who is letting this happen? That is where the root cause is for me. JMO>

Maybe its me, but it seems this team can't get both offense and defense in sync at the same time, or, either at all. And how many seasons do we start off bad and finish good or, start good and finish bad? Consistency is a dual edged sword being great for some things but terrible for others. Great as far as game performances but maybe not so great organizationally making timely changes to stay competitive. Long season still ahead so we don't need to cash in our chips just yet. JMO>

Amazing how that perspective has done a 180 from just a month or so ago. So, maybe if things can go South so quickly, they likewise could reverse course, and this still be true. Hard to believe it right now but you never know. JMO>

Week 10 of the 2016 season I had my fill of Tomlin. He should have been fired on his way to the locker room after the game.

I don’t get that. After week 10 of the 2016 season we didn’t lose again until the AFCCG, a game where we were overmatched in terms of personnel.

He proved to me that day he isn't the man for the job, if playoff runs are the goal.
7 seasons later and I'm still right, unless non-losing seasons are the goal.

How many threads are you going to push this same nonsense. Will he magically be great just because someone else is calling the plays? No. Too much is going wrong right now. A change in coordinators is a complication at first, but a necessary one. The pass protection still needs to improve. They still need to get Johnson back. The running game needs to be more consistent. Most importantly, Pickett needs to overcome overcome the way he has regressed this season. He needs to get his eyes off the pass rush and down field. He needs to stop rushing decisions and throws. He needs to start trusting his line more. These are all issues that were either caused or exacerbated by the other issues on offense. It's going to take time and work just to get him back where he was at the end of last season, so great isn't going to happen overnight. Of course, great is subjective. Whether or not he can be great at some point is still to be determined, but it is the less likely outcome given how poorly he handled adversity this season. That said, it has been a hell of a lot of adversity, much of it not his fault.

Ok. LoL. We seen a guy win games because His running game, and defense did most the work last year, and He was only asked to make a few plays, and not mess it up....which I was fine with.....He was a rookie, but the other teams defense has come into this season , and said .....No KFP.....You will have to do some of the carrying the load this year, and He hasn't. Yes yes yes....I don't like Canada....doesn't change that our Qb is not hitting open targets, seeing open targets, and bailing the pocket too quickly.

This is why I made the hyperbolic comment on the other thread about you arguing that Pickett will suck for all time. Your argument doesn't sound like you are saying he has been bad, which nobody is disputing, but that you think he is and will continue to be bad. At best, you are not being clear.

No . I think He's been bad, and I have seen no evidence that shows Me He will get better. Believe me... I thought He would be way better than He's been. I said this countless times over the off season, and even this year, but I'm not afraid to say I was wrong. So far He has done terribly, and the main part is because of the running game, but the running game is failing because every freak team We are facing is playing mainly to stop it. I hope He gets better. It's not physical....it's totally mental, but that is His biggest strength, and without that .....
