On a side note, I can see KP and MC arguing up there with KP trying to prevent MC from calling plays that he knows are wrong.

 

It's not a bad idea, but usually they keep them right on the sideline with the coaches. They hear the plays go in, they are with the coaches on the sideline listening to the talk between the coaches and the quarterback. They give their own input of what they see. In between possessions they are on the bench and generally talk with the playing quarterback about what they are seeing out there and bouncing things off each other, usually with some overhead shots on a tablet to try to determine what the defense is doing in certain situations and what looks they are giving to try to fool the quarterback into not recognizing coverages. That part of it could really help him. If he sees what the other quarterbacks see pre-snap, and then gets to see how things change post-snap, it helps to give him the mental reps of watching a defense deploy after the initial look as the play develops from a different perspective. Things like that can really help him. Plus, during the week he will be discussing things with his coaches and the other quarterbacks and back that up with film study. Hopefully something clicks for him.

Yeah, 4 coaches and he's still making the same mistakes he did as a rookie .

 

Corley and Thomas are new this year.

 

So what, Sullivan and Canada are the main guys he has worked with, and they aren't getting the job done .

 

and again they added two more guys to help and it didn't. sometimes it's not the teacher. some students get the same material and get A's and some get B's and some get C's and D's. sometimes it is the teacher and the materials he's giving and how he's giving it. he may need to adjust how he's teaching it. sometimes students just never get it. sometimes they know it and come test time they go blank. when you have 4 people teaching him, one more may not help. maybe 4 is too many. maybe it's overload. he won the last 9 out of 13. he was with canada and sullivan for those. what changed at 2-2 this year? the addition of two coaches.

Canada is still running the show. Adding a TA or two to the room doesn't help if the teacher sucks at his job.
