i am guessing teams know he is one of the best players on the O. Without DJ, D's are keying on him, taking him out.

big boy Pickens is yet to impress - needed to catch 2 of those balls on Sunday, that he dropped. the GREAT ones make those catches, he ain't great (yet)

    I don't think Pat is a cancer.

I think Pat seems to get hurt too often.

I think Pat is playing hurt and its really effecting his game.

There hasn't been many highlights for offense this year but he does have 2 Touchdowns in 4 games....

Stats and yards wise not pretty, but yeah might be hard to extend him because he doesn't seem to stay healthy.

He is signed through the 2024 season. As far as an extension who knows. He's out 2 to 3 weeks now with the hamstring the bye being one of them. At times its like he isn't even out there. Sure Pickett is struggling but I really feel that Canadas game plan is exposed for the predictability.

One thing is for certain...Kenny and Muth aren't Ben and Heeeeeeath! Ben and Heath were built for AFC North football. They were both tough as nails. So far, my impression of both Kenny and Muth are that they are a little soft and injury prone. I hope time proves me wrong, but I don't have a great feeling about the long-term impact of either of those guys at this point.

can't block, can't make contested catches, rarely can break a tackle, has poor YAC, often injured. this guy will be on another team after this rookie deal is up

He was never able to block well. This year he is being asked to do it more. He's also probably being a ***** about drafting Washington on top of his poor ability to block as a TE.

I agree on the lack of blocking and lack of contested catches.....he's not often injured though. he's played in 16 games in 2021 and 2022.

I get why the question was raised: It seems that Muth's heart is just not even into playing this year, as a lot of players share in their play as well. I think the bigger question is: Why do so many players look like their hearts are not fully into giving it their all this season? The evidence seems undisputable. The team is playing on fumes as opposed to a full tank of gas. Now why is that?

Did you see Muth's futile attempts on some of those blocks? Did they seem remotely like those block attempts were from someone who is indeed really trying? I know Muth is not the "greatest" blocker of all time, but those efforts were beyond lacking or from someone who was truly giving their best effort. To me blocking is about "effort." Muth was not even giving 50% effort on those blocks.

Or maybe use our tackle sized TE to do the blocking?

That's all Washington has been doing is blocking, I think he only has one reception so far.

Including the "great" Connor Heyward that was supposed to prove so awesome this season according to the Tomlin apologists and nepotism fans.

No worries. Practicing in pads this week will toughen them up!
