My thoughts on regular season wk 4

1. Houston Texans RBs had more passing TDs then our offense.

2. Our offense is historically bad. Looking at our schedule, I'd we aren't even close to a .500 team

3. Pickett is regressing badly. Can't handle pressure and little to no pocket awareness.

4. Did Canada find his playbook in box of stale Wheaties?

 

Defense is bad. Offense is bad. One guy in charge.

What the hell is going on?!

 

no longer effective? He’s been the same fraud now for 10+ years.

 

Seriously, what are the odds of that happening two weeks in a row?

 

I was very much on the patience bandwagon regarding Pickett, but I’m about to leap off with a swan dive.

The play that really did it:

When we were deep in the redzone and he once again hit the eject button too soon and rolled out to his left and threw a weak ill advised and inaccurate pass into double coverage for an incompletion while there was a (((VERY WIDE OPEN))) dude with a big black helmet and white jersey just five yards behind - I knew right then and there that Pickett has poor vision at a minimum and poor decision making as a norm (remember the out of bounds toss that almost got picked a few weeks ago???).

He isn’t secure with this scheme, this offensive line, and broken offense. He’s shook, has happy feet, runs into sacks, and is seeing ghosts.

When CJ Stroud got flushed today and ran out of the pocket with his eyes down field, if he had 2-3 seconds I knew he was going to burn our defense for a good gain and likely a fresh set of downs. Over and over and over and over again and again and again.

I want our offense, he’ll… our entire team to operate the way the formerly lowly Texans looked today. They either are strong playoff contenders or Mike Tomlin’s pretenders made them look that way.

 

I think Tomlin should wear a Louis IX king hat to the games or a crown with a robe. So there is no doubt who’s in charge

 

Kenny was in some ways playing better last year. It definitely looked like was playing a bit fast and looser last year.

 

here are a few more observations that I recall as well:

15. The almighty coach cliche was once again outcoached by a first year head coach
16. The Steelers "great" defense was schooled by a rookie QB
17. The offensive coordinator of the Texans has been doing that job for 4 weeks now, and yet we stick with Canada!!!
18. Levi Wallace is making every team we face have a HOF caliber WR
19. Kenny Pickett is either too scared to take a hit and has resorted to panic mode or he just isnt cut out for this position ( I dont want to give up on him, but he hasnt shown any improvemnet over the first month of the season and thats troubling to me )
20. We need a real OC and also a real DC, we have the talent on both sides of the ball and that talent is being wasted by extremely poor coaching or scheme

 

Im starting to think all this talent everyone was talking about before the season might be a tad bit off. The coaching is horrendous unquestionably but some of these players including the QB do not look like a starting NFL player.

 

i think Kenny got concussed too much he is finished. Every number after last is.Steelers are until Tomlin is a man. and fires Matt And starts blitzing more and more.dont make us live in our fears of sucking and all fans that go to Ravens game make those fool coaches hear you say fire Canada.

 

It's a sad day when the team"s play is so terrible that we don't even bother to mention the awful officiating

 

I mentioned it. It was impossible to miss. Take away the ridiculous pass interference calls on Fitzpatrick and Freiermuth and that is likely a nine point game at halftime.
