Everyone is saying MT has been making that statement “ There is going to be a lot of changes “. For 10 years. That me that the owners don’t care what happens to a franchise that once was a dynasty. Pitiful.

I only stated observations and facts. Sorry if it rubs you the wrong way. Clearly Tomlin can be fired, but its also clear he has the longest leash of any NFL HC and its not because of his achievements.

    Two types of racism:

Singling out a person because of the color of their skin

Not singling out a person because of the color of their skin (this is the issue for the Steelers and AR2)

Venting is good my friend especially among other passionate fans. Smiling and not acknowledging the issues is what's got them in this position in the first place if you ask me. Don't forget tomlins little dance on the sideline with the ravens on the kick return that was embarrassing, letting juju give other teams bulletin board material ect ect. It's been clear at least to me the culture and discipline of this team has been going down the tubes for 10 years or more. They need a coach and leader not a cheerleader.

The system is broken and they are in the denial phase. The NFL is about adaptation and innovation seems the Steelers are not interested. They better wise up or they will be playing a lot of games in London. The League is about entertainment and there is nothing entertaining about watching the Steelers try to play football lately

Barring a 2-15 season the moment anyone in the media questions Tomlin's tenure just watch the rallying around Mike that happens in the media. Bradshaw said what he said and he was excoriated over it. Even Stephen A Smith yesterday had to preface "We love Mike Tomlin", then said and I'm paraphrasing "he can't be absolved of this" or something to that affect and went on to blister having hired and retained Canada. What does it matter whether we love Mike or not as a person? As Stephen A said and not referring to Mike but another segment, "It's okay to fire people that are not producing, you don't feel good about it but if they don't produce you can fire people". He is the only guy I saw or read yesterday and even hinted at Mike having some accountability for this. This is years and years overdue. The next coach better be an x's and o's guy who runs a no nonsense locker room. The team needs to return to a disciplined accountable organization. Everything should be team first. No Ben radio show while he is playing calling out his own teammates (WTF, Tomlin not shutting that down was asinine), no social media videos in the locker room, etc.

I don’t have any problem with criticism of the coach, he deserves it just like any other coach does. In terms of his leash, this organization has never fired coaches and does not do that type of public discourse. He is in his last year of his contract and if they move on from him, they will do it that way. I don’t think he is getting any grace because of his race, they have always done it this way. I personally think they will move on from him if things do not change a lot because there were high expectations this year. Clearly, something has taken a bad turn.

Funny I believe some people on here said before about needing a Coach like Brian Daboll NFL genius. LoL. Hmmm :hmm:
Could it possibly mean coaching isn't the be all end all. If Your Qb isn't good the best a great Hc, and OC can do is make him not look like $hit. Yes....You can trick teams for a year, but once they get the game film of a year, and can break it down they bring out the real Qb again. Example: Trubisky when Nagy 1st came. Tanahill when he 1st went to Tennessee, Danny Dimes when Daboll 1st took over. You can paint , and polish a turd, but in the end it's still a turd.
