Sometimes you have to make adjustments....I mean, the Steelers way worked for a very long time but in the last 10 years, that hasn't been the case so sometimes changes are necessary....

Change is inevitable, maybe not as fast as some of us would like. Steelers don't make knee jerk decisions.
The Rooney's are not like other owners I believe they actually care about their employee's Maybe I am Nieve?

Pittsburgh was lucky to have Bill Cowher as a head coach. We really did not know how good the culture was, until it was gone. It only took a few years for Tomlin's true colors, or "standards", to come out. Legarrette Blount was the catalyst in my opinion, that really showed how much of a do nothing coach he is.
Leveon Bell, had an awesome career going until Legarrete joined the team.
Antonio Brown, possibly would have had a HOF career. If everyone would have quit telling him how good he was, and made him live up to the "standard".
Bring in Chase Claypool. Looked like he could of been our savior, got too many pats on the behind instead of being held to the "standard".
Whats going to happen with Dionte Johnson?????? Huge waste of resource IMO.
What about the crap attitude that George Pickens already has???
These players need a hard nosed, tough coach. Not the bunch of fruitcakes we got in there now. Bunch of paper tigers. I typically don't post on any types of forums, but after watching that poor excuse of a game yesterday, I needed to vent a little. Heads need to roll in Pittsburgh, we have too much talent to look that bad.

Looking back over the years the Steelers have thrown a few 6-10 seasons at us, not many. Since merger, 5 win season in 1988 was worse. Steelers have given us plenty of good/great regular seasons the past 50 years.

AFCN not looking so hot at the moment. Still wide open. Sunday's game is huge for this team. A bad loss and I could see a season like 1988. I'd give up on season. Not giving up just yet.

Looking back over the last 8 to 10 years, yea we did not have any losing seasons, but like we said many, many times over those years, Big Ben carried this team for years and we will see what Tomlin is made of when Ben leaves. I think we all know the answer to that. How many times did Ben throw away the playbook and just took over the games.

A key play that summed up Mike’s approach was the game against the Bengals I believe that Troy intercepted the ball and lateraled terribly thankfully we still recovered. As he was coming off to the sideline Mike was congratulating him at the same time Lebeau was grabbing him and yelling at him. He put the game at risk after it was won by doing that but all Mike could see was the INT. Different approaches but I will take Lebeau's.

If you think about it, there should be several coaches fired as well. Did anyone see the Bengals, Browns and Patriots game yesterday. Or the Packers game Thursday? Maybe the Bears Coach will be available or the Vikings? The Giants guy is really good. There a lot of problem teams this year.

It’s sad someone always brings race into the conversation. They never fired the other two guys when they had bad seasons, maybe they had minority relatives or something.

It really goes back to fundamentals, are the players of the last 30 years being taught correctly? I have my doubts.
There is more to playing sports than physical ability. Although it is huge, you better have a brain and heart to go with that talent.

It would be racist not to fire Tomlin if his race has anything to do with it.

are you asking sarcastically? they are ALL over the place - media primarily, ESPN, broadcasters, and plenty here, although they only come out after a win. We have tumbled so far as a franchise.

    they should have.

Cowher overstayed, so did Noll. They both limped out, if you will. Cowher's 1998, 1999, 2000 was it for me. He had no idea that you needed a TOP QB in today's game , thought he could win with all muscle. He was dead wrong and then he LUCKED into drafting Ben. 2001, Kordell was fun to watch, but no future. Then Tommy Gun - refurbished, but again, no future. 2003 was lousy. Then........BIG BEN. and of course, the great Dick LeBeau to work him magic on Defense, for so many year.

has nothing to do with race - Tomlin should have been canned at 4pm after the Jacksonville playoff loss in 2017. or at LEAST shown the door with Ben. it has sucked for years now.

    *Ahem*

Getting back on the subject of Coaching, it has, is and shall continue to befall on Canada. Until he is jettisoned or unless Mike Sullivan/Glen Thomas take over as OC (Canada acting as OC in name only) expect this problem to continue. Again though, Pickett has not helped his cause... at all.

We now have 16 games of evidence. He has thrown 11 TDs to 13 INTs. He only has one 300 yard game under his belt; his first start being a drubbing by the Buffalo Bill's from last season. He isn't seeing the field very well and, when he does, he has a nasty habit to bail out of the pocket to throw it on the move.

However, Canada isn't alone in this. Tomlin and Austin need to have their feet to the fire as well. How many more games will the Steelers give up allowing teams to rush for over 100 yards?! This is the fourth consecutive game! Not just the scheme either; why isn't Breiden Fehoko active when the problem is quite paramount?! To hell with getting after the QB for that only works if the run is being stopped consistently.

Oddly enough, the only Coach that has exceeded expectations among the big three is Danny Smith. Even with PH3 gone, Brad Wing didn't look too bad in terms of punt average for the game. Cris Boswell has been essentially the Offense as well. Even though Gunner nearly effed up the game against Cleveland, up until yesterday, Kick Returns have been solid.

Overall, from coaching to players, yesterday's game was a complete and total collapse. Here in lies the kicker; Pittsburgh has given up games of 20 points or more dating back to 2021 seven times. Prior to that, such an occurrence only happened eight times... from 2007 to 2020. How is this the kicker?!

As I always say, problems you can solve; issues you cannot. We already know that Canada is a massive issue. Time to add Tomlin to the list!! :butcher::butcher::butcher:

Everything you said is true…. I’m saying why does some guy in is moms basement always have to bring race into the issue? No one complained that Noll or Cowher didn’t get fired cause they are white and the owner is white. If he’s failing replace him just like any other coach. If it’s time for a change then let’s make it, but stop with the lousy race-baiting garbage.
