I'm watching Dobbs and he even has more pocket composure. KP is cooked, he either doesn't have it or doesn't have any confidence in the plays being given him and o-line to consistently give him time. My alert level is back up to level 9!!

If he dont work it out he’ll too look like dobbs somewhere else as someone who couldn’t hack it here or was wrecked here but eventually will be given an opp to say F it somewhere else and have some moments… it’s the whole blind squirrel theory hahahahaha

I can confidently say as far as some coaching aspects goes the grass is in fact greener on other sides.

especially those lawns that boast coaching trees

Watch the replay. All but one of the pass rushers were to his right. There was only one on his left, and Jones was blocking him. Pickett saw a rusher coming free inside, so he tried moving where there were fewer rushers. His eyes just weren't where they should be, down the field. He had improvised in a similar fashion on the long pass play to Harris. It is also how he made the game-winning play last season against the Ravens.

Of course, it wasn't the right decision. The right decision was to step up and throw the ball. Actually, the right decision was for the team to kick the damn field goal, or at least put Pickett under center so there was at least the threat of a run or play-action pass. If he was going to scramble, however, going left made the most sense of the options available on that play.

Yes he needed to step up and throw the ball to the open guy in the middle of the field.

I need to watch it again with the wider view. Nobody was open initially. I think that receiver came open after Pickett had decided to scramble, but I need another look.

Florio is reporting the Steelers are optimistic that Pickett's knee injury is a mild MCL sprain. I assume he will still miss some time. Maybe the best-case scenario is he is out until after the bye, but I'm just speculating.

Just think this play would have never happened if Pickens just kept running after catching the 3rd down pass. His hesitation set this whole mess into action.

Bet you dollars to donuts it's an MCL sprain and probably out 3-4 weeks. Worst case scenario he has a medial meniscus injury too.

Had he stayed, a pass rusher was about to be right in his face. He should have hung in there. Hopefully, the receiver would have gotten open before the rush got to him, but he didn't bail for no reason. A rusher was disengaging from a block right in front of him.

It looked like Kenny was walking back to the locker room on his own okay?

Maybe there is a chance he is alright?

When I initially watched it, I didn't see the pass rusher getting past a blocker in front of him. I don't think he could step up. He had to either escape or stay put and throw.

Blurb popped up on my iPad last night they’re expecting him to be out 4-6 weeks. Who knows if it’s true. I haven’t looked to see if it’s been reported anywhere else. Also not sure if that’s a good or bad thing

I saw that, too. If he sits until the bye, then returns, that could be a good thing. Maybe the reset will do him some good. This team isn't good enough to do anything special, so I'm not sure what they gain from a switch to Trubisky. The most important thing is finding out about Pickett. If he returns and continues to play poorly, they are going to have to look at drafting another quarterback.

That image doesn't look like he could step up to me, though he could have stood his ground and delivered the ball.
