    I’ll support the Steelers regardless of who’s coaching. With this regime though I’m having the least fun or pride as a Steelers fan ever.

    Not quite.

    Again, Tomlin's Contract expires in 2024. Here is a quote from him about the whole ordeal that played out this past Off Season;

    “I’m just at the stage of my career where I don’t care about contracts, to be honest with you, man,” Tomlin said. “I appreciate the opportunity. I’m singularly focused. I’m thankful that I’m in a stage in life and in my career that that’s a non-issue for me.”

    However, this is just merely Tomlin. This is AR II himself about the whole situation;

    "I don't like to speculate on our coach's contract," Rooney said. "So, we will see."

    Here is what he added further...

    "I think the number one thing I always want to see in a team, and I think it's up to the coach to make this happen, is to get better as the season goes on. I mean, you should be your best team at the end of the season. And so, I thought we did that. Bringing a rookie quarterback along, I think, as I said before, there's no one way to do it right. I think we wound up with a rookie quarterback who got better as the season went on and I think we're excited about the future because of that. So, I think those things are encouraging and the way Mike handled them."

    Both of these statements line up with his current Contract situation; still up in the air. Given how horrid the Offense has been in 2023, this isn't likely going to win Tomlin over with AR II. If anything, it is giving Omar and Andy both more leverage into whom they want to bring in... should this continue.

    In short?! Tomlin's days in the Black 'n' Gold are likely numbered. Time will tell and it is still possible he gets extended soon. However, given the current information we have?!... Don't bet on it.

    Same man!
    No matter the coach, I bleed Black 'n' Gold!!! :steelflag::steelflag::steelflag:

    Just wish things could get better. However, for them to get that way.. we have to get worse it seems. :(

    Hopefully it doesn't last long!! :herewego:

    It’s been around 10+ years of the same ol thing. Poor offenses etc

    Tomlin is the biggest fraud in the NFL.

    Agreed. It was pretty much 10 years ago I fully realized no matter the talent on the field that the steelers were at such a disadvantage from a coaching standpoint that we wasn't going to see another superbowl while he was there. But there have been some good times. Who knows maybe he'll muster another. 500 season and all will be well...

    All I am saying is there is too many signs pointing to this. For that matter, think about it for a second; new FO Members want to hire their guys in and get rid of the old regime. Check out Chicago; Justin Fields being the first of the proverbial lambs to be sent to the slaughter. Matt Eberflus is up next; Ryan Poles likely soon thereafter.

    Just an example. However, the usual activity for new FO's is to restructure the team; the Coaching Staff often being the first order of business. While Omar Kahn has been on record in stating he would like to work with Tomlin long term, that is all up to AR II. Given how he was non committal in the Off Season, coupled with what has been happening thus far, what other conclusion can we deduce?!

    This is a such a tired rationale. "Us Steelers fans"? So your logic is the only ones that want the Steelers to win meaningful football games are the ones that show up after a defeat and beat the hell out of the Tomlin lovers/apologists/defenders strawman and go on about how for true fans a decade plus of no playoff losses is too much, everybody is settling for mediocrity, etc.

    Quit acting like a child.

    I'd hope most fans on here are knowledgeable enough to know it's hard to win the superbowl. It's hard to stay competitive year in and year out. What's not hard is being prepared, looking ready, making clear decisions(canada) when everyone sees how obvious it is. Whenever we do make the playoffs it seems we can count on being unprepared, falling way behind, and then tomlinisms after the game making no visible changes.

    Clearly the fans who thought we'd contend and the media saying steelers are a team to look out for this year had unrealistic expectations and were duped. I thought the season was done on the 2nd play of the season when they jet sweeped. That proved to me nothing changed.

    He did.

    He also pointed out how much development Pickett had with Tomlin from a season ago. Compare that to now, Pickett is clearly out of sorts.

    yeah, listen to Terry Bradshaw talk about Noll. He didn’t like him but he respected him and Noll made him a winner.

    Hopefully, Art is aware the Steelers played today. He seems rather checked out. He's 73 and probably planning his next trip to Ireland.

    Even redditors are saying it’s time for Tomlin to go. He’s gonna ride out his last 2 years as losing seasons then retire imo.

    I could see Tomlin accidentally firing himself. He's clueless about professional football, no telling what else he is clueless about.

    I wouldn't say Tomlin is clueless about football, but I will say that the game past him by this past decade.

    Do you really believe that Terryl Austin signed a 2 year 27 million dollar contract? Mike tomlin doesn't even make that type of money.

    Oh my friend he is far from checked out, the Steelers have a business plan that they follow,
    probably why they are the most winningest franchise since the merger. Am I happy with the way the team
    is playing, being coached absolutley not and haven't been for some time.
