Teams usually start to find out who they are between 4-6 weeks, that’s when they start to find their footing. Steelers found no footing today and slid right off the cliff along with KFP.

If Pickett is lost for the season that is a terrible blow for this team because now you go into the draft and can only guess if Kenny is the guy you want to build around or not. Early returns this season, he is not. Kenny at the end of last season, you do

There are so many things wrong with this team right now, the bye can’t come soon enough.

By no means is this all on Canada but first thing I am doing at the bye is bringing in a new OC. They need to shake things up. If Pickett isn’t lost for the season my first call is to Whipple. See if he can get Kenny right. He missed a wide open TD on a corner route. He threw the harder pass right in front of him and of course fell incomplete.

There is no way I would let the fact we have Pickett stop me from drafting a QB early.

Despite their winning record, the steelers are awful since 2021.They won by 2 scores only 3 times since 2021 and the points differencial is at -110 or something like that...They are what they are at this point....Garbage offense in the last 5 years

Really wish that 80's music would stop playing.

Frankly, if we draft a QB early ignoring the plethora or holes on this team will be my final straw especially if Tomlin is walking the sidelines in 2024.

I personally think we HAVE to go all in for a QB. Kenny is not it. My guy last year was Sam Howell. He just shook off a brutal game last week and took the Eagles to OT in their house.

They have a lot of cap flexibility to fix other holes. Nothing else matters if you don’t have a QB. At the moment it looks like they don’t unfortunately.

It doesn't matter how great your receivers are if the QB can't get them the ball, I will slack in other areas if I can get a good QB.

My issue is, how do we truly know if Pickett is or isn't the guy. If he had a branch from the Shanahan tree as OC then I'd get the criticism. The guy never has been put in a position to succeed. I'm not saying he is the guy at all. It's just a complete sh*tshow.

In Tomlin press conference he just said there will be changes, and we can't continue to do what we're doing.
It sounds good, but how come I don't believe him.

Without a doubt. The decision to retain Canada this offseason is indefensible. He is not an NFL level OC, it has been obvious since he took over. Even casual fans like myself can see the flaws in the scheme and call the play before the snap. Its crazy that he is still in place

I agree, I knew before the game started we would be in 3rd and long and go 3 and out.

When Howell fell, I would have liked to see them double up on quarterbacks, but there was little chance they were going to do it.

Honestly, I'm not sure what they have in Pickett yet, but they have way too many holes for it to be worthwhile to make some massive deal for a quarterback. The offensive line is a mess. Cole and Okorafor are terrible. The defensive line is nothing but a bunch of pluggers without Heyward. Letting Sutton go and signing Peterson was a huge mistake. They might have one good corner in Porter, but that's not nearly enough.

Maybe they will fall apart completely and end up with a top-10 pick, but barring that, the price of moving up to get a quarterback is insanely high, especially when you don't have a good enough team to put on the field around him. Whatever chance they had of Pickett developing into something this year, they ruined it by keeping Canada and not putting together a good enough offensive line. If they go all in as you suggest, they would be putting Caleb Williams or Drake Maye in the same ****ty situation. This assumes they could even get a high enough pick to draft one of those guys.

I'm sure there are going to be people screaming that the team should have passed on Pickett and drafted Stroud. The thing is, the Texans weren't trading that pick and the Steelers weren't that level of awful even with Trubisky playing all last season, so that little fantasy just wasn't realistic.

That's my issue here. Not a single QB in college would succeed with this offense that's currently constructed. If Kenny fails in 24 with a new OC, then by all means look in 25 for a new QB. But I just want to see Kenny, or any QB, given a fair chance; otherwise, just blindly drafting QBs every 2-3 years makes us the Jets or Browns and we're just wasting draft capital.

Kenny is bad. Your avatar is why you will defend pickett despite him being a bottom 2-3 QB in the NFL

Bro, watching the game I wasn't even getting pissed like I would when we lost with Ben, I kept thinking Bubby Brister running around and getting sacked and moving into pressure, etc. KFP's confidence is obliterated.

    Stop you no

Stop most teams yes because that would be admitting a lot

The favorable factor here is Pickett was not drafted by the current GM but he may not have enough pull on draft day

If they stink enough to get Caleb Williams or even Drake Maye, I'm fine with it. I just don't see that happening. Also, I'm not all that certain that Maye or any quarterback in the upcoming draft other than Williams is better than Pickett.

If he is out for the season, I just can't see them giving up on him this quickly. Even worse, that might end up being their excuse for keeping Canada.

I seriously do not see Caleb Williams being better in this offense. It's a horrible construct. We would destroy Caleb Williams and he would be a bust as well.
