    1. This should probably be a permanent entry each week.... Canada must go!!!!!

    2. As bad as Canada's play calling was, I can't let Pickett off the hook.... he's holding the ball too long and not seeing the field well enough

    3. Tomlin was badly outcoached

    4. Either Levi Wallace, or Patrick Peterson need to be benched for Joey.... we can possibly cover for one, but not both

    5. While the o-line got smoked, Chuks and Mason, in particular, looked like deer in headlights

    6. Najee is much more effective when he runs angry

    7. Montravious Adam's needs to ride the pine.... you can drive a semi through the middle of the defense when he's out there

    8. Whenever Moore comes back, he needs to go to the right side and leave Broderick on the left

    9. I hope when Tomlin talks about JV football, that he doesn't leave out the JV coaching

    10. This was a typical Mike Tomlin trap game... glad we got it out of our system early..
Maybe we can move on with real football now

    Great analysis @blackandgoldpatrol!

Just have a bit of pushback on 2. One and two seem intertwined currently and remember, Matt Canada has been bad since 2021. A young QB overcoming the various rigors of the NFL via his opposition is tough enough. However, when that level of difficulty is multiplied by his own OC, that adds another dimension of difficulty all together.

As for the entirety of the game, number 10 can technically be described as an all out butt whoopin from the Texans Coaching Staff. They were the superior Coaches today. No exceptions.

You always bring it, BAGP. It's impossible to defend KFP, it's also impossible to defend Matt Canada. Trouble is, even if they fire Canada, all they will do is promote Sullivan. He should have been let go as soon as the last game was over last year so they could conduct an exhaustive search for a real OC. As it is, make Canada a landmark firing. Something has to shake this team up.

I agree with all of it. I think the poor coaching and terrible line play are just putting Pickett in impossible situations, but he has to play better. Of course, that assumes he gets to play at all the rest of this season, which is far from a sure thing right now.

With regard to no. 10, how many times will Tomlin continue falling into the same “traps”? The fact is that this has become Tomlin’s legacy. How many times have Tomlin coached teams crapped the bed in important games? How many times have we found ourselves down by three scores early before we even get into the opposing team’s territory? It’s like we don’t come into many of these games with a cohesive and well thought out game plan and are trying to figure it out as we go. I think it’s time for Tomlin to go, he’s no longer an effective head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers and his message (or his cliches) have grown stale. Noll had his time, Cowher had his time, it’s now Tomlin’s time.

Great overview. In addition, I think the Oline coach needs to go. It has been 2 years and the online is getting worse. Watching the game today the line was horrible and standing around after each play all up on there feet looking around.

I have been watching QBs since 1974. Pickett continues a long line of good college QBs who cannot process things quickly enough in the NFL. I hate that we wasted a #1 pick to find that out.

As a further thought to points one and two, too many posters are blurring the line between Pickett's poor play, the ineptitude pf the offensive line and Canada's vanilla play calling. On a fourth and one that would have been a big momentum shift, you put a shaky QB in a shotgun formation instead up going with a jumbo formation and letting him sneak it for the first down, which he incidentally does very well. Or running a direct snap to the FB out of the same formation. He calls that play with the benefit of having a timeout to think about it and that is what he came up with. So, in short, Pickett may very well be a bust, but implying that the reason Canada looks inept is because Pickett is too is disingenuous.

Alongside the permanent issue with Canada, the sloppy tackling is also become an alarmingly regular occurrence

Bad timing for us to play the Ratbirds. They look like they are making a run to win the division.

Only ones more disappointed than us fans in the division got to be Bungle fans. They used to be thought of as actual Super Bowl contenders.

#2 even when KFP got time he is panicking
#3 Tomlin needs to get 2024 Madden game, game is quietly slipping away from him
    # 9 no chance
#10 I honestly, and i hope im incorrect being a lifelong Steeler fan, believe we are in the top 5 of next years draft.
Very good read my friend! As always!
